Hi Guys,

Just wondering if I can get an idea of what you think is the most sought after veneers combination according to all you cue builders out there? My personal favorite and I'm sure to many others as well is the titlist veneer combination.

I'm looking to come up with some popular veneers combination for some of my new model of full splice blanks...so your ideas and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Duc.

Hey Duc
Is that one of your blanks or is it a titlist?

I'd love to get a few Ebony full-splice blanks with the titlist colors if their available.

Hi Paul,

No...the one in the pic is an actual titlist blank...I'm going to get some titlist veneers combination for sure with ebony, purpleheart, rosewood, etc. I tried before but the veneers were wrong on our SRD model. I'm hoping to get it closer this time around.

Regards,
Duc.

Duc,
Thanks for the fast responce, let me know when their ready and we'll go from there. I'm definitely interested in the Ebony and the Purpleheart with the titlist colors.

I might suggest using mahogany veneer & maple veneer for the brown & natural colors in the splice, then anything will work for the purple & teal so long as color is right. I agree that the Titleist colors would be awesome!!! It would be some full splice blanks i'd be interested in for sure. But i'd like to see as close to a real Titleist as possible. The Titleist lookalikes I have seen so far have not impressed me, because the first thing I look at is the brown veneer to see if it's genuine mahogany or dyed sycamore, and it's always sycamore. The grain texture of the mahogany contrasts nicely against all of the smooth grained veneers, and is what sets off a true Titleist when looking at the splice. Just my two cents, and a little food for thought. I'd also like to see them in fiddleback hard maple instead of birdseye. I'm a Titleist fan & would like to see it. Good luck, Duc
