What do you think?

If you were going to sell this would you note that the strap is a little skunked-up in some areas or is this to be expected on a new case?

Did you ask

Did you ask the seller if it can be replaced?
If it is brand new, maybe you can work it out.

Just looking for opinions. If I sold it to you and it looked like that would you be okay with it or would you be unhappy?

I think it would be a borderline issue. Regardless this is an issue that you and the seller need to work out. Communicate to him if you are unhappy.
I understand you are asking for advice, but I bet you already know how you feel about it. Transactions and satisfaction therein needs to be dealt with between the buyer and the seller. It'll make things much simpler. Best of luck.

If you've already bought this it's best you resolve this with the seller privately before exposing pics and details, unless discussion has failed and you're seeking advice.

If you're a seller, then please include these pictures in your sale. It is vital for potential buyer's decision making.

Thanks for the thoughtful replys.

I haven't said anything about a seller. Just trying to see what expectations are and hear some opinions.

I would have to consider several things before being disappointed in the strap. Such as: Is that the only issue? If not what are the others. What price case is this? Was the case expected to be better than you feel you got?

If it came from a custom case maker I'd want the strap replaced, which should be no big deal to do. If the case is a cheap import, I'd probable be satisfied and would feel I got what I paid for.

If I were selling the case I would explain, with pictures, the condition of the strap and any other issues the case may have. After all, isn't that what sellers are supposed to do? There is no such thing as giving too much info about a product that is being offered for sale.
