What Does It Take To Make A Taig Useable?

Chuck, would you please expound on the reverse switch? I was planning on putting mine in the speed box, but fear it will void the much needed warranty. Thanks,
Scott

I put one on my deluxe and Chris did say it would void my warranty. It works great and I wouldn't have it any other way. For roughing it is faster to cut both ways. For finishing, I only cut right to left.

Be sure to use a switch with a center off position. DPDT center off...

I have been using it for almost a year with no problems.

If you want a pic and a schematic..... PM me.

There is someone on the forum that sells a plug n play reversing switch. the easy way...............

I bought the deluxe and I haven't found anything it can't do

Well, it doesn't make bacon and eggs very well on a Sunday morning.
Beyond that, I agree.
Luckily, Sheila is a good at the other.

DPDT on-off-on switch
Project box
2 strain reliefs
IEC cable extention or if you have an old computer power cord find a IEC receptacle (like the first reverse switch I posted)

Mount right on 1020 extrusion

Mount a taig headstock and tailstock for a sanding lathe
I might just use them to as holders for steadyrests when not in use
