What does your Bar/Room Owner do to make you

Well Phoenix Arizona is the Sixth Largest City/Media Market in the USA, and it amazes me there is so little money in Pool Tournaments. Like I said many time I drive an hour, pay entry fee, play 5 or 6 hours until the Tournament is over, place in the $$, go home,do the math, and my NET Profit is like $2.00/hr.

I think the Room/Bar Owners need to go out and get some Sponsorship from the people the players support to make the Tournaments RICHER. I do not understand why the Room/Bar Owners most do little to promote Pool in their Rooms & Bars in masny cases.

How many MILLIONS did Budwisher spend on Super Bowl Commercials last Sunday? How much did Budwisher aka Anheisher Bush spend on sponsoring Pool in your town last week, last month, last years.

Any one drink an Anheisher Bush products like Bud, or Bud light??.

Wonder what the reaction would be if ever Pool Room, and Pool Bar in the Valley of the Sun (Phoenix) that served Anheisher Bush products next week told the delivery driver, we are not selling you products in our business, until the local Anheisher Bush Distributor started sponsoring, and supporting local Pool in our community. I do not think the local the local Anheisher Bush Distributor would just say o.k. drink Miller.

What also amazes me in place like Great Falls Montana, Longview Washington, Lincoln, Oregon and other little place on the map I see monthly in The Break Paper's Tournment Trail, they have big add money Tournaments.

What I would like to know is when can these out of the way places with a small population base, have big money Pool Tournaments compared to Phoenix Arizona is the Sixth Largest City/Media Market in the USA.

We have a weekly tournament at one of the local bars. 7 foot Diamond Smart tables with Simonis 860. Tournament is $15.00 entry, $5.00 side-pot (optional) and $1.00 break pot (optional).

Owner opens the tables all day for Free pool. Tournament has between 16 to 32 players weekly, with some of the best players around showing up consistently.

It is a handicapped tournament. Owners discretion on rating players.

We also have a 4 1/2 x 9 shimmed GC 3 to play on and practice for free anytime.

We had a 10 ball tournament couple weeks ago. This one was set up with a calcutta and $10.00 greens fee.

compaired to many places.

forfeit players who are not around when they are called, I hate it when players are not around and the tournament slows down or stops while we wait to find one player, TD's need to grow some balls and forfeit these players, they will catch on and stop wandering off. Start on time, and don't take late sign ups, and have races shorter so the tourney gets over at a decent hour, no later than midnight.

Other than that the usual match of $5 per person is good enough for me.

Great idea.
