If she likes jewelry I recommend jewelrytelevision.com good prices and you can find precious or semi precious gems. I also like a day at the spa. Let us know what you pick.

Day spa!!! good idea keep them comming!1 i really want to do or give her somthing great!!!she my life!!!

Something for the kitchen, women like that kinda stuff. Just teasin ya.
I bought my wife a hand made wood cue case this year. Shes gonna die, its so beautiful.

One of the things that I bought her last year, and I know most women love this, as its getting very popular, is a gift certificate to a day spa. Nails, pedicure, massage, maybe a hot rock massage. The whole nine yards. Absolutely can't go wrong with that. She getting another one this year too. Also plan a weekend getaway and pamper her.

Have someone ask her how she would spend a day, if money was no object and tell them to pay close attention to whether she sounds like she is interested in the things she mentions. If she says she'd like to soak in a hot tub and sleep in, find as many ways to fancy up that little request as possible, like serving her a late breakfast in bed, turn on some of her favorite relaxing music and put some of that relaxing potpouri fragrance stuff burning in little pots in the bathroom, as she soaks in a tub of bubbles.

Little extras that you'd be surprised would make her happy is YOU doing the dishes, laundry, cleaning out the shower/tub/toilet,, vaccuuming the floors, knocking down spider webs, etc... showing her you're not afraid to do the things she usually does for you. Be sure to hand her a calendar page and a camera to help her record the moment properly, though.

There's always the constant reminder thing. The night before that special day, post little love notes where she's sure to find them.... on the shower knob, on the milk carton, on the steering wheel, inside the microwave, on the light switch, on the window in front of the kitchen sink, dry erase marker notes on the bathroom mirror (it wipes right off). Tell her the things that make her special to you, or remind her of how you met, or just write I love you on each one.

I don't know very many women who don't appreciate a bouquet of flowers, but never let that be the only thing you do. Flowers are only a side treat, like dinner at a restaurant. They should never be the main event of a special day or night.

If she's a country girl, take her for a slow walk in her favorite park. If she's a city girl, take her to a busy place for a walk. Be careful of the mall. It causes the money to fall right out of your pockets!

And, the Honey-Do day is a great idea, too. Have her make a list of all the things that need doing and she thinks are of highest priority. Start at the top of her list and spend a day doing all the things that need doing. Don't forget the flowers and a special dinner afterward. If she doesn't get a little luxury out of the deal, you've sorta not achieved your goal.

Probably the best thing a woman could ever have is to have her man look deeply in her eyes in total admiration and curiosity for what makes her love him so much. She doesn't have to do it, you know!

Based on your quote "has been my right hand" why not get her name tattooed across your right hand. Just kidding! No, get her a nice ring for HER right hand. Depending on her style and lifestyle, just a plain band would be nice, with maybe a meaningful message engraving inside (if possible, I'd opt for platinum because it's unique and more precious than silver or gold). Or if she's the type that would like more bling, you can never go wrong with diamonds...and lots of them! I think a right hand ring signifies more than "just" being married to her, it signifies how much you value and appreciate her and that she is your best friend and partner in everything you do. Awww, now I'm weeping...

Let us know what you decide and how she responds after she opens it (and if you decide to use any of our ideas DO NOT TELL HER THAT YOU GOT THE IDEA FROM THIS SITE! It's all you! LOL)

thanks

THANKS AND WHEN DID YOU TURN PRO ??ALL SOUND A GOOD ADIVICE, OH AND YOUR NOT DR PHILE BY ANY CHANCE ARE YOU HA HA MERRY CHRISTMAS AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS!!!!!

10 years is a milestone

How about:

1) Purchase an "eternity" band (ring). Doesn't have to be diamonds if her favorite stone is sapphire, ruby, etc. Go for one that is "channel set" stones as they are more comforatble to wear with no prongs scratching between the fingers then she can wear it every day.

2) wrap the ring box in a bigger box with a handwritten letter telling her how much her love and support means to you and something to the effect of "I would marry you all over again and I would like you to pick a date for us to re-new our vows"

then she could either start wearing the new ring now or wait until you two do the renewal ceremony.

If money & time are not issues than it would be awesome to take a cruise and have the ship's Captain do the renewal ceremony.

well last year i got mine a day at the spa. she loved it. This year i think shes getting a trip to DCC :)

Just kidding. shes getting jewelery. U cannot go wrong with jewelery.

Warning!!!!!! Do not make the same mistake as me. I really wanted to impress my wife (now my ex-wife) so I scrimped and saved and bought her a damn SUV for Christmas. I had one of those humungous red ribbons dripping with mistletoe draped over that beautiful machine. Well, two days later, she filed for divorce. My lawyer called me at 7am in the morning and asked if I had forgotten to get her a Christmas present or had I done something else even more stupid. I explained that I had actually given her a very nice present and told him about the SUV. Being the observant high paid very intelligent attorney that I had grown to trust, I listened closely to what he said next. His words still echo in my ears. He said "Rip you are a dumb$hit! Giving your wife a slightly used vacuum, aka SUV, for Christmas is the reason she's so pi$$ed!"
Go figure.

I am getting her a brand new Stanley tape measure and screwdriver set

Really though a digital camera, necklace, and bath and body works stuff, and perfume.

Stanley tape measure and a screwdriver set. lol i love it! (funny stuff)

My wife loves making cakes. She watches those darn cake makin shows and the cooking channel so I am looking into getting her into a Baking/Cake making class. I figure we both win on this idea.

The spa thing is a good idea but I think a better way to go is to get her a gift certificate to her favorite hair stylus and to a place that does manicures and pedicures. My wife always wants to go to a GOOD hair stylus but a good one cost a lot of $. This way you have already paid for the trip and she wont feel guilty for going to get her hair done by a professional. She will look great after she has her hair and nails done and you will benefit from the results (hopefully more than can be described in any detail on in these forums). lol

One more thing, write her a small letter letting her know how much she has meant to you could go a long way too.

What not to do... for Christmas.

The love letter/note is a great idea, but the hair stylist idea is only good if she likes that kind of stuff. Some women prefer to spend time doing other things and being who they are, naturally. It depends on her preferences.
