What grit sandpaper is best for scuffing layered tip?

I want to carry a little piece of sandpaper with me in case I need to scuff my tip when I'm out playing. I've read that too aggressive a grit can tear up or even contribute to de-laminating a layered tip. Can one of our cue maker members advise what would be the best choice here? I've used many different tips in the past, but currently have Tiger Sniper, Tiger Everest, Talisman Pro and Moori tips on different shafts. Thanks.

I use the Williard tool, it even has a gauge on the side to make sure to tip shape is correct.

I like 80 grit...JER

Me too! :grin-square: And I'm a guy who used to use a Kamui tool, but
I just like a piece of 80 grit better. I had Little Al put a Moor M on my cue and he finished the tip with sandpaper. When I asked him what he was using he said 80 grit. Good enough for me.
