I remember a few years ago I read an article in BD about John Kucharo and how he was doing well in all the tournaments. Was just wondering what ever happened to him?

John lives in the southern IL area and from the last time that I spoke with him (about 2 yrs ago) he was in the process of opening a pool hall in that area. He attends some tournaments in his area, but that's about all I know of.
Yep, sure could be Iowa. Moline, IL and Davenport, IA are directly accross the river from each other, so it could be either.
Brady said that Jon has been hanging out at Q-Masters in Virginia the past couple weeks.

I hope he is playing again he used to come to the pool room i used to run he played one of the best sets against efren for like $4000 getting the 7 playing 10 ball i think the score was 13-4 john winning he played so good efren pulled up and tom karabatsos was staking efren and even told efren to play another set and efren said "I have no chance"
A couple years back, after he left the "tour", he did open a small room in Bettendorf Iowa but I've lost track of what happened to him or that venture.
Bettendorf is directly across the Mississippi from the Illinois part of the Quad Cities, Rock Island and Moline and East Moline and ....and ... but this area is NOT Southern Illinois. It's well in the northern part of Il. All dem big city Sheecawago folks consider anything south of Cicero to be "southern" Illinois.
