It seems that whenever they update the site goes down for a few days. Hopefully thats what is going on.

I was thinking the same thing!

That site used to be fairly good. Over the past months I have noticed that they slacked up on posting new videos like they used to. They are either upgrading or degrading!

It's really AMAZING site .
I missed it alot last days until now .... I hope it's just updating matter .

Propoolvid is my lunch time relaxation...I hope it get back online soon. I have never seen them take so long on updates!

HI

i missed propoolvideo.com so much :(
please how knows if it'll get back or not ???????????????
?????????????????????????????????????????????????????

This thread was dead, but I hope propoolvideo isn't for good.

Does anyone on here have contact with the owner...Jorge isn't it? I'd at least like to know if it was dead for good so I could stop worrying about it!

It was a great site and i hope it comes back but there was a lot of work required on it and with just advertising revenue which has fallen off a cliff, it may not imo.

It's been at least 3 months since it's been up and running, sounds dead to me. But I hope not, they had some great matches on there!

Jorge Torres is a Miami guy and without spilling his business on the boards, I will say that Jorge has had personal issues that would have affected just about everyone here had it been you in his shoes, and I don't think pool is the highest priority in his life right now. Jorge always ran PPV as his hobby and it was solely his passion for pool that built the site up and maintained it at the level that so many enjoyed. Hopefully he will get back into pool again, he was a fun guy to talk with at the pool hall bc he loved pool so much and it showed.

Yes everyone goes through problems. I really think once you put something out there like propoolvideo it's not right to drop it. He should've posted that he's not going to keep it up for free and then let viewers decide to pay a monthly fee or something to watch it.

sorry to hear about jorge's misfortunes..he seems like a great guy and even though he wasnt around long...he did alot for the game with his videos. hope everything works out for him.

Donny, PPV was costing money to run. I can understand what your saying if this was for example an open source project that had collaboration of others, but this was not the case. Here, PPV hosting was being paid by Jorge. If you didnt have the time and desire to continue a project that was running in the red, would you still feel like you owed anyone anything before the plug was pulled?

No way, Jorge!

He is giving all us freebie-users a money back guarantee...

ProPoolVideo Vids

I found an application for the Mac that allowed me to download YouTube videos that worked with ProPoolVideo as well. I took some time to archive all of the matches on the site and saved them on an external hard drive (the drive has now crashed).

I still have about five matches featuring Corey Deuel, loaded onto an iPod and was wondering if I could get permission from the site owners to post them somewhere for others to enjoy.

I am not looking to profit, just to spread the great content and to build enthusiasm for the game.

I hope I can rescue the rest of the videos from that bad hard drive. I really enjoyed the match between Cliff Joyner and Shane Van Boening from the Predator 10-Ball tour, among others.

Thanks, Jorge, for a great site.
