i picked up a used predator 2K-1 off ebay for what i felt was a cheap price. new i found it went for 495$. verified the model via the predator retired cues page. just wonder if i did well. its complete with original 314 shaft and its straight and true, some discoloring of the shaft and a chip in the butt's finish but nothing else major. shot some games with it today and its a nice cue

Ebay can have its good and bad days. I got it for under 300$ with shipping and it has a palmer leather case. I think i did well. i am looking at the predator page again and now im not sure what this cost because says they came with irish linen wrap, but this butt has a rubber grip? possibly they were available with various grips as an upgrade?

I played with a 2k1 I got used for $100 8 or so yrs ago. I got a great deal cause the guy who sold it to me got stiffed and the player gave him his stuff. Mine had a 5/16-14 thread, all black linen wrap, and an all black butt cap. The later ones I believe the 4k1 had a uniloc joint, and a white butt cap.
Only thing to be careful of is that black finish on predators was notorious for chipping if you drop the cue. My forearm chipped in a few places leaving a thumb sized piece of the maple underneath exposed. It's a great looking cue, the best looking predator in my opinion anyway.
