Hi everyone,
Could someone please tell me the meaning or origin of the term "Kwik Fire?"
Thank you in advance.
Richard

I don't want to say more, but I overheard some & saw Kelly talking to one of our own forum cuemakers. He will be making the hand signed & numbered cues.;) I feel its not in my best interest to say more, I'll wait like everyone else for the offical announcement.

It seems likely that the term comes from "quick fire," meaning capable of firing many shots in a short amount of time at a moving target. The term, in its literal sense, applies to guns.

Hi,
Thank you, that is exactly what I was looking for. I just could not find the meaning of the word "kwik" when I tried to look it up, and I am very curious of its meaning.

Thank you.

Hi Jam, A Merry & Safe Christmas to you and Keith.
Do you or anyone else know who the Cuemaker is? Sounds like a well marketed idea I wish them the best.

Thanks for the Merry Christmas wishes, and I hope you and yours enjoy a very jolly season as well. :)

I'm not sure who the cue maker is, but I think that Kelly, who lived in North Carolina last I heard, is close to the Fury folks. I do not know if Fury is involved, but I am aware that Fury is very supportive of pro players like Kelly.

If you ever watch Kelly play, you will notice she has a very fast tempo. Quick Fire describes her playing style, and the change in spelling to Kwik Fire for her nickname just happens to match her initials.
I read the story about her new marketing venture, and wish her, Val, and the others the greatest success. I am fortunate to know Kelly and Val personally, and they are two very fine ladies.

Its not Fury. I can not say anything other than its a custom maker from here on our forum. I should not say more. I overheard them putting the deal together at my poolroom. My team was sitting close enough that I overheard her & the cuemaker talking. :D

For the record, it was not my intention to start this thread to talk about any deal Kelly Fisher might have going.

Like I said, I just wanted to know the meaning of the term "Kwik Fire", that is all.

Thank you JAM, SJM, and Steve for your clarification.

I have watched Kelly Fisher play many times and I have to say that she is one really smooth and talented player with a great rhythm. I have had the pleasure of speaking with her a few times, she is totally classy and a real delight to be around.

I also like her fashion sense and her new hair style(well, not so new anymore actually:) ). I think it would be a nice idea to see how she blends her British taste with America fashion.

In my opinion, Kelly Fisher has not yet reached even 70% of her full potential yet in 9 Ball, and I am always pulling for her and expect to see more great acheivment from her in the coming years.

Merry Christmas everyone.
