What is my cue worth?

I have the Curtis Robertson cue listed in the wanted/for sale section. Im getting some hits here and there, but that's all. I don't really know what the secondary market value of this cue. I'm asking 2,600. New, this cost me 5k. Am I asking too much? I don't want to come off like I'm trying to rip someone off, just want a fair price. If anyone could help with determining a fair price I would appreciate it greatly.

Your price sounds fair but you don't have any I trader info and are new.

Curtis robertson???????

I tried looking up Curtis Roberston in the 3rd Edition of the Blue Book of Cues which seems to be a pretty comprehensive, but certainly not an all-inclusive, compilation of cue makers. Couldn't find Curtis Robertson listed anywhere or any mention of the secondary market value of his cues....wish I could have been of some assistance to you.

Oops...that was my typo

Oops...in my earlier PM i typed his name wrong.....I meant to type robertson in my e-mail. Curtis Robertson is who I tried looking up.

Ok I'll bite.. Who is Curtis Robertson??? Not saying he doesn't build a great cue but to date that is not a name I am familiar with.

Curtis Robertson is a fantastic cuemaker out of abilene, tx. I was referred to him by bill schick. Bill didn't have the time to make my cue and spoke of curtis. He is only in his second year of the cuemakers association but already making a strong name. This cue placed sixth for cue of the year at SBE this year.

Sounds like the problem is the maker is relatively unknown, and that's lots of cash for an unknown maker. I was referred to him by bill schick and "This cue placed sixth for cue of the year at SBE this year." should be repeated often in bold caps. Good luck!
:p
