What is on your "Bucket List" of cues?

I really like the cues I have, but there are two cues that I would like to own, and frankly I dont come across them often.

I want a Huebler US Open cue. I have never seen one in person, and maybe it will change my mind if I see it in person, but IMO, it is the best looking production cue ever made. For you folks that know, how many of them were made?

Secondly, I want a Kersenbrock cue. Not one that looks EXACTLY like a Southwest cue.

Why is it so hard to get these cues?

What is on your bucket list?

Nothing else. Done the buy/sell/trade for a few years & narrowed it down to 4 keepers. 2001 Rick Howard, 2010 Pechauer semi-sneaky, Schmelke true sneaky, and my pride and joy, a McDermott D-1. I'm 63 and doubt I buy any other cues unless an incredible bargain and won't sell another unless offered a stupid price, & not sure I'll even do that with the McD !!!

1. Paul Mottey
2. Szamboti (prefer Gus, but would be happy with Barry too)
3. Chris Nitti

Might be able to get #3 before I go belly up. Hope so anyway.

and
4. Scruggs.

Ken, I don’t know how many US Open cues were made, but they were pricey, maybe the most expensive catalog cue he made. I think it was $1,000 in 1983. Because of that I think the number might be pretty low.

I’m a few years out for a Southwest and would like to get a Birdseye Bluegrass, then I should be good.

That's An Easy Question.

It likely comes as no great surpise to those that know me which top name cue-maker sits atop my bucket list for pool cues.

If and when the opportunity presents itself, I'll indulge myself but the challenge continues to be cue specifications.

I've searched in vain since 2013 and seen some gorgeous cues along the way but none of them were the right combination.

Another Diveney cue

I have a couple of Diveney players, a break cue and 3 of his Lake Salvage shafts'

I would like another wrap less with ebony and snake wood and copper inlays topped of by one of his 12.75 diameter long taper 30" Kiel wood LD shafts. Sweeeet! Gotta have it!

I’m super happy with my Runde and have no immediate plans to buy anything else. But, on my list of things I’d like to have eventually:

Southwest
Tascarella
Sugartree

I’m on the list for a Southwest but it’ll be a good 10 years or so. Who knows, may still be my next cue, may find the right Tascarella or Sugartree one day sooner and jump on it.

Until then, very happy with just my Runde :)

1st:

Searing, made for me personally
Barry Szamboti, made for me personally
Cognoscenti, made for me personally (had one made in the 90's and had an offer I couln't refuse so I'd like another )

2nd:

Inlaid Southwest
Kersenbrock
Showman
Balabushka

My bucket may never get filled but it'll be fun trying

Too many to list.

A number of antiques...and a number of customs...

I have some of them already...

And it the list grows.

Some of what I want are not so "collectible" while others are one of a kind and seriously hard to find.

There are a few I would like to have made. Barry, S, etc....

.

A Paul Mottey Box cue. Steve "The Mechanic" McAnnish from Toledo, Ohio used to play with one for a while. Beautiful cue with a nice soft hit to it.

Not going to try to put an order to this list too much.. Here it goes:

Searing
Hercek
JMW
Tascarella
Scruggs
Kersenbrock
Showman

You know, all of the top tier stuff...

Maybe I get to a few of these, maybe not.. It's going to be fun trying though.

Good luck to all who are trying to obtain these tools of the trade!!!

:grin::grin::grin::thumbup::thumbup:

There are many fine cues I would love to own but basically I would just like to complete my collection of Pre-Catalog Palmers.

Realistic bucket list of mine:
Jerry Franklin Southwest
Tad
Kersenbrock

I exclude the cues I'm sure would be nice to own, but I doubt I will never spend $8k-10k on a cue:
Szamboti
Loaded Black Boar
Searing
Joel Hercek
Ginacue

I want a 62" ash/ebony hoppe style with an ivory joint

currently saving for it

actually have the money for it already but I'm getting gunshy lol
