What is the best jump break tip?

Looking to get a tip on my custom j/b cue, I want your opinions on which tip is the best?
Considerations, jump ability, break contact, break control ability, tournaments...does anyone ban phenolic anymore, I know BCA now allows it.

Phenolic or leather?...why...
Here's some info: I have a BK2, love it but occasional miscue
I use a bunjee jumper...it jumps outta sight. No complaint.
 
I like leather for break, and phenolic for jump. Leather gives far better control of the cue ball, no question. But phenolic hits slightly harder for the break and makes jumping A LOT easier. The G10s are overpowered for jumping imo.

Bakalite works well for jumping and breaking.

Just thought I'd confuse some people.



I've made some bakalite tips and I could actually jump and

make the cue ball curve when it came down. A jump masse shot.
 
I was impressed with my Samsara when I first got it, but now, even with some TLC, I can't get it to hold chalk well - even Kamui chalk! I'm getting it replaced tonight. I've heard good things about the Tiger break / jump tips.

j/b tips are like most pool equipment; whatever "feels good" is the right one. I have a white diamond on my j/b and it works great, had a samsara before that also worked great. In fact I can't remember a hard tip that didn't work great.
 
I prefer white diamond. Hard enough to easily get over a ball, yet just soft enough for an inkling of control. I do this with a phenolic ferrule.

Like Marc said. Odega tips are awesome. I switched as did a lot of others who did use Samsara tips around here. Call Wade

+1 for the Odega. I like it better than the Samsara and phenolic tips I used to have.

Are they phenolic or leather, how do they compare in hardness to samsara, and bk2 phenolic tip? And to g10?

Yes, the Tiger XX is just as good as the Samsara and is 20%-33% cheaper.

The Samsara is rated at 95.5 in hardness and the Tiger xx is rated 99.
