What is the best pool related thread you liked the most and enjoyed the most on AZB?

I enjoyed the "You better be better than a shortstop" thread most where Smorgass Bored gave me my nickname... :-)

Russ

That member's name is: !Smorgass Bored in case any of you want to search. Smorg aka: Smorgie, SmorgassBored, Tampa Tubby Bob was a one of a kind guy.

Hey Richie,
I like those threads too. I like the C J Wiley threads as well, Geno thread on building a champion in 1 or 2 months. Jay H, and other stories on pool players and road trips. Thank You, Mr. Richie.
Many Regards,
Lock N Load.

I agree with that and since I´m a real cuenerd I must say all the beautiful pics posted of cues, the threads from the cuemakers explaining in detail - the build, there thoughts of playability etc.
Now I follow CJ´s all posts and Geno´s the most, I think it´s great they take their time to share so much:smile:.

Great thread btw!:-)

Geno,
I can't wait for you to post something about you and Zack. Most of my computer time is spent on AZB!!! The best pool site in the world.
Many Regards,
Lock N Load.

Strong vote for "What would you do here" threads. I think both Neil and Jude Rosenstock posted plenty. Despite the cuetable issue I think I'll try to bring those back.

The Rack in Detroit.
Build a Champion in a month or two
Random Phillippine musings
Types of people you see at the pool hall
High Praise for John Schmidt - Player Review (this is the one where John and Danny go at it, Danny Accuses him of using the famous Ferrule-Cracking Laser, then someone drops a Hydrogen bomb on Danny.

There are others over the years, those are just what pop into my head.

Yeah, what made those threads so much fun was the CueTable's ability to edit. Unfortunately, it's just not convenient to use anymore and to make matters worse, there's nothing out there that creates the same level of conversation like CueTable diagrams did. I have a lot of faith in Wei and hope that one day he returns to making CueTable the best diagram tool out there.

Great thread MR.LOCK, i would say mine is the rack stories(like above me), any old or new pool stories and also hearing about the older players, who played who and who beat who, i really like all the action stories the best!

I have always liked those threads also which propted me to get "Pool Wars" and "Running the Table, the story of Kid delcicious the last great pool hustler" (slight paraphrase of that title.) Both books were great from that perspective.

Anything I say is obviously are the best posts on AZB.:p:smile:

Ok on a serious note, CJ has came up huge here at a low time on AZB, and has contributed massively to our community. Also it looks like things have turned a little for the better recently(past couple weeks-I havent spent much time here, but in the little I have things appear better).
