He is an older trick-shot guy who seems to have a vile internet personna. People on various forums seem to go through three stages:

stage 1. They're a little taken aback but figure he's been around and knows some things so they give him the benefit of the doubt.

stage 2. They find him offensive, but think they might be able to rehabilitate him.

stage 3. They find his tripe boring and want him to go away.

The different stages last different amounts of time for different people, so they argue with one another when they are in different stages.

He's been banned from anywhere that can ban him.
