What is the ERnd Rail Gaff ???

In the Strong Arm John thread there were references to a gaff bet regarding making a ball hit the end rail?

Can anyone please explain the proposition to me?

I think the reference was making the 9 ball hit the end rail off the break...

Actually the gaff (made by a good player to a not so good player) is they will play them 9-Ball and the weaker player can win the game if he makes the nine ball hit the end rail (head rail). So the end rail is his pocket, but not the pockets! He can do this via combination, billiard or whatever. As long as he makes a legal hit on the lowest numbered ball.

P.S. He can't win!
