Given the other thread about how many balls you have hit it made me think. I know there are lots of gamblers on this forum that would have played some serious marathons so I ask this...what is the longest you have played pool straight without reasonable stops for the restroom or food?

Personally it was 7 years ago when I played for a straight 24 hours then had breakfast and went back and played another 10 hours straight. Snooker.

On a few occasions when I was in my 20s, I got to the poolroom Friday after work and left Sunday morning. I'm not embarrassed by it now but at that time, I thought there was nothing more shameful.

One time i played 3 guys in the same day. I opened the poolroom and closed it. I also played a ring game for 12hrs. I lost 10 bucks!

I played somewhere around 18 hours but not for money or in any competition, it was just 4 of us not wanting to stop.

I have played for fifty a game for almost eighteen hours and broke even. I was down $600 and up $850. Exhausted, we both said f#$% it.

In my first year of playing pool me and a friend played straightpool for 42 hours with only 5 min breaks each hour. We got sponsored food from local restaurants and hotel each 4th hour and we ended up on tv and in the newspapers, beating the Norwegian record which at that time was 24 hours.

i played around 20 hours non-stop, i was just a banger then. probably the worst thing i ever did for my game(devloping bad habits), man i wish i had a dad who would have got me out of the gate right while I was young, he did his best got me a 8' table and a good cue, we just didnt know about lessions etc back then. i miss my dad.

i did the fri-sunday thing alot of times in Sacramento, not getting a hotel room just sleeping in a chair somewhere wetc. i never played the whole time but a few times i didnt sleep-unassisted.

Cliff Joyner has to hold the record in this category. I have seen him play 4 days straight at tournaments before.

Played 17 hours with a case of the flu. Spent most of what I made at the hospital when I came down with pneumonia. Just dumb!!!!!!

Staked another player in an ahead set that lasted 41 hours. I was there for the whole thing. Those chairs on the rail get pretty uncomfortable after the first 24 hours. LOL
