What is the most Under Rated Cue?

ive played with all kinds of midlle of the road (price wise) production cues and most play well once you got a feel for them... the only one that i can honestly say I was disapointed with was a newer muecci a friend bought he payed 500+ for it and i cant begin to tell you how bad that cue was. aside from playability and feel being sub par there were all kinds of other issues, ie; glue marks, uneven/lifted points, etc, etc... Matter of fact after about a year he bought a joss and left that muecci at my house... and it's still sitting there.

Underrated cues

I think in my opinion the most underrated cue will be scorpion and cuetec! How do earl and archer survive with them?

I'm not saying this is the case, but it's possible they have custom cues made to appear to be scorpion and Cuetec.
Its fairly common with golf pros and golf clubs.

I have a closet full of what I considerd at one time the best hitting cue,
from cheap productions to mid range customs in the 2k bracket ,,
what I find is a cue is like a girl friend , you like the looks of one u play with it it feels good you play good then after a while you get tired of it and start looking for another , another one catches your eye, feels good and in the closet the last cue goes,,

And just like a girlfreind thiers one or two you would go back too for a guick spin ,,

Now I tend to keep the same shaft and change butts as IMHO the most important part of the cue is from the joint up ,

Ill take a broom stick cut it in half stick a radial pin and a lag bolt for weight grab a LD shaft and play just fine,

Cues are overated in the grand scheme of ones play

 That's rough, but funny in a way. You think him showing up with a cue like that threw you off?

Stroked

I bought a Stroker merry widow from Mueller's including a case during one of their sales for $25 with the intent of keeping an extra cue for people who are visiting. I don't let other people play with my best cues. After I received it, I took it to a,pool hall to see how it played. Quite impressive. I don't mind playing an entire session with it. It's not as much fun as my favorite cues, but a <10% of the cost, it is quite respectable. I don't know how they will hold up over time. But I liked it enough to buy another in Mueller's most recent sale.

One of my girl friends has a cue that fits that description.
That cue plays great and has a very solid sweet hit.
She recieved it as a gift. I couldn't find a brand on it.
I told her it plays as good as some $800 cues I've had.

i dont know if joss qualifies since its considered a good quality "production"cue
but i think its underrated because of the lower class citizen status production cues have

anything with uni-loc joint is garbage IMO.
Tell that to Dennis Searing, but thats your opinion
not everybody likes them.I think Kevin Varney is really under-rated
and Predator cues.Personally I like the older ones made by Falcon
and even the ones with a uniloc joint:wink:

I inherited one of those Japanese cane cues when I bought my table. for a laugh I tried it out. I was quite surprised at the way it plays. . .

talk about underrated!!!
