I found this billiard ball set in Germany. It is an Aramith set that comes with standard solid number balls 1-8, a cue ball, and an odd looking black ball with yellow stripe.

Does anyone know what this is? is it a game? Can I buy just the Black/yellow stripe ball? Please let me know.

Just going off the number of balls, it's probably a 9-ball specific ball set. *shrug*

Call me Commander McBragg

I have to agree with NewStroke on this.

Years ago Chevy's had a marketing disaster in latin america with the Chevy Nova. Chevy was puzzled why their sales numbers were low, until they figured out that No Va means don't move in spanish.

Same with 9-ball, as it turns out nine is pronounced the same as neine, which means no. So, when you call for the 9-ball, your opponent affirms niene (no). So, the germans kept losing at 9-ball.

Later, they changed 9-ball and called it YahBall. So, when you go for the 9-ball, and say Yahball? Your opponent affirms, Ja Wohl

Little known fact, someone gave Ralf Souquet an english-german dictionary, and the rest is history.
*blow some smoke up your butt*

German 9 ball.

Raesche or something like that is the name of this ball set.

They are very high quality. I've played using this set a few times.

Rumor is you can really put the jive on those balls because they lack inlays.
