What is up with Kevin Trudeau?

I was browsing around on eBay and all of a sudden I see an advertisement for a series of books by Kevin Trudeau. And some of the comments left by individuals were less than flattering. Referring to him as a quack, a charlatan and a scoundrel. One reviewer stated:

...I saw a review this evening from Inside Edition where Trudeau was exposed as a quack. What's more they exposed his criminal record -- indictment for credit card fraud, and for deceptive and misleading ads with products from his earlier infomercials, so, he's been banned from doing infomercials. But he found loopholes in that they can't band him from expressing opinion in print (4th amendment rights?) and so, he just re-invented himself with this book full of several unverified or unverifiable claims. That was enough for me to stay clear of this book!

Now isn't this the same guy that started he IPT and if so, is he still associated with it?

The short version is that it's the same guy, and a lot of pool players haven't been paid what they won in the IPT. The most amazing thing to me about Trudeau is that he is still alive.

Coming from your line of work, I'd imagine some of the posts around here are like fingernails on a blackboard for you. I type at a keyboard all day (software development), but I can't imagine the kind of keyboarding skill required to do what you do.
