What is your Favorite Tip flavor at the moment

Triangle.
just for kicks I had a Sniper put on one of my shafts and the only difference was the sniper was twice the money of a triangle.
I have 3 cues and each cue has two shafts.
There are layered tips,Triangle and Triumph on them and I cant remember what tip is on what shaft.
I rotate my cues so I never really know what tip I'm playing with.
They all seem the same to me.

Ruffly, how many hours of play?
Hard to say as I haven't been playing that much over the last year. Including practice, league and for fun matches I estimate around 500-1000 hours of play. I had to reshape the tip twice during the first few hours of play but since then it held its shape pretty well. Sometimes I feel like burnishing the sides, making them shiny again. For scuffing, I use the Kamui Gator Grip every once in a while, which hardly takes off any material. Not that it would be necessaray as often as I do it, but I like to roughen the tip up a little bit before every session of play.

My daily driver right now is predator tip I’ve been playing well with it so scared to change it lol

An old Triangle is my first choice with Sniper and Ivory Ultra Skins tied for second.

Precision tips by Dennis Searing are excellent and cheap compared to most other layered tips.
not cheap, just skipping the middle man markups... manufacturer doubles his cost to distributor who doubles their cost to retailer who doubles their cost to consumer so a tip that costs $3 to make costs the distributor $6 who sells it to the retailer for $12 who sells it to the consumer for $24. I did it personally, just the way things work.

Buy the tips directly from Dennis and save a bunch of money for what I think is the best tip made & have them installed by your local guy.

I tried a Kamui medium. HARD!! Barely held chalk. I miscued four times in one match, chalking every shot.

At home my measles ball was terribly embedded with chalk marks. The tip flew off (the second time this happened in the last six weeks - not sure if it was the tip or the tech). I disliked this tip.

Was recommended a Kamikaze Elite medium. Love it. Holds chalk wonderfully. Reduced miscues. And strangely, it might be my imagination, but CB is staying clean.

Tried the market hype of all tips, always triangle for the coin. On the go for layered tips i like the old Morri tips. Which are still in the making my understanding now as of good ones.
Moori hard tips are still very good! My go to tip.

Pretty much whatever is on the cue, by they time I trim them down they all play similar.

Out of the who knows how many cues i've gotten from you the description has always been spot on and the tips perfect

smart $$$ says i've been trimming tips longer than you and the magic fails me more often than not

that said my tip de jour are 14mm elk masters.

somewhat taller than 13's and once you trim the sides a couple of times they get real playable

i don't trim much off the crown, if it's a good tip (yep, there's always that) you'll know when it's broken in
