I think the soft plays more like a medium. Dont ask for more details than that cause I'm not that informed! Seems to load ball and transmit feel rather well.

Mike-

You know my feelings on this, as we have discussed it at length. I agree, these are the best tips I have ever used, and I think hard tips play the best. I try to minimize cueball movement as much as possible, so heavily juicing the cueball is rarely necessary for me.

I use the medium because it is very similar to a Moori hard. I used Moori mediums for years. Even though it is less forgiving I've moved to the harder tip for that little bit of feel. My fiance uses the Soft and loves it.

I used the Moori mediums for years and recently swithched to the Kamui Black medium. At first I thought it was too hard. Easily the hardest medium tip I have ever played with. Now that I have gotten used to it, I love it. Holds it shape real well, doesn't have to be shaped all the time, and has great feel. I can't imagine using anything else for quite a while.

Medium black for me. I cut the first two top layers off when I install it. I can't really say why but I like it better than using the full tip.

I'm kind of surprised the Super Soft is in the lead. I hardly hear anybody talk about that one. I thought the Medium would be WAAAAYYYYYYYY out in front, but it's looks pretty even so far.

Thanks for the input, and keep them coming!

i love the super soft!!! i switched from the medium soft kamui II and have liked both but favor the black a little bit. I may try a soft but thats only after i wear out the super soft on both shafts!

I'm not surprised. Super Soft is not soft at all.

I have some of the medium Kamui Black tips and I found it to be like a hard tip. I switched to the Kamui Black soft and it feels like a medium hard tip to me. Maybe I should switch again to the Kamui Black super soft to finally get what i'm looking for. I've played with Moori Slow tips for years and after reading good reports on the Kamui Black tips I decided to try them. I've invested a good bit of money in these tips and I still haven't found one that suits me. After reading this thread maybe the Super Soft is the tip I should have tried to start with. These tips seem to be harder than their designation states.

I wouldn't mind trying the Super Soft again. I tried them once before, but they were installed wrong so they played like crap. Not the tip's fault, though.

Kamui black mediums hold chalk great for such a hard tip. Holds shape nice and does not glaze after a few shots. Meets all my needs in a hard tip

I like the soft 'cause it plays like a medium hard, but I also like the hard 'cause it plays like a soft medium, but then I also like the medium 'cause it plays like soft hard, then of course I sometimes like the super-soft 'cause it plays like a glob of wet toilet paper.
Excuse me, what was the question?

I tried the black soft too, in place of a tiger everest. I can see why people like them, holds shape well, holds chalk ridiculously well.

For me though, it seems to be too much of a high performance tip(if there is such a thing). This will probably sound strange, but I get too much spin with the kamui... mostly too much swerve. It also feels too hard, harder than say, a moori medium. I tried to get used to it for around 3 weeks, but I couldnt play my regular game with it. It hurt me to do it, but I had to cut the thing off.

Its a $20 tip, if anyone with an 11.75 shaft would like to try it. I will send it to ya for free if you send me a self addressed stamped envelope.

I had heard that the Super Soft needs some break -in time. Can anybody that uses one confirm this?

Also, what can you compare the Super Soft to? I heard somebody say it was like a great Le Pro tip. Is that about accurate?
