What Kind of Chalk Does Jayson Shaw Use?

Yes, I ordered my first 2 pieces from this seller on Amazon, $28 per piece with free prime shipping. After how seeing how good it is, I made my next 9 piece order (planning to sell most) through Taom, at roughly $15 per piece including the shipping cost.
Yeah, I'm just buying one to try first. I might wait for blue if I end up loving it and want to place a bigger order.

I doubt you’ll see blue so don’t bother waiting. Believe me, it doesn’t matter, you will not see any semblance of green chalk after playing with this chalk on your tournament blue Simonis for hours.

Funny. People with blue cloth want blue chalk so the marks won’t show, but I want it so the marks will be more obvious (easier to then clean off my green cloth).
Miscues from applying too much draw will likely leave chalk marks, regardless of brand. I’ll try a piece of V10 just out of curiosity (color looks lighter than standard green cloth, so might still be obvious?).

Round chalk WILL roll (I have several pieces of Pyro I’ll likely never live long enough to use up), but square chalk usually hits an edge and takes a funny bounce. I have yet to be forced to crawl under the table to retrieve the Pyro (something all too common with Masters).

Toam IS best for a home table, but I’m puzzled by those who use it where their competitors use Masters (?). If the CB is bound to be dirty anyway, I would want the chalk with the strongest grip (not likely Pyro), and just put outside english on every cut.

got a round of V10 about a month ago. ( eBay)
$25 delivered
Went on like paint and stays on

My hands are clean

Don’t see it on the cue ball ( although it’s probably must have some)

Table is cleaner but theirs still a bit on it ( I’m
probably using too much)

Round, well get over it ( you will get use to it quickly & then the square cube feels funny)

Figure it should last well over a year

Decided to give it a try because of all the good talk & new 860 HR on my table.

If you check eBay you may find some although the sellers are changing as there inventory depletes.
Mine came from a Minnesota seller & had it 3days later

Got mine today. It really does last on the tip forever. Played nice on my old moori medium, I'll try other types in the next few days.

Feels a lot like masters going on. The reason I didn't like 1080 was because as I played my tip kept getting out of shape over a week. My theory is masters is abrasive enough to shape your tip as you chalk. I'm interested to see how it works with the v10.

I vacuumed the table and did a tip reshape before the switch. its still clan after an hour of play.

I did run 100 balls! (Just not in a row :)

Just found myself contemplating an equipment liquidation just to have the coin to buy chalk.

...so sad....lol

Btw. Just to add little to conversation. Chalks also hand made in Finland. Finland is expensive country. Especially for companies who hires workers. There is taxes and all kind regulations that is sometimes unreal.
They could make chalks cheaper country but they don´t want to. That how you make sure quality is good always :)

Less skidding might make the price worthwhile.
Yes. That why i turned to Taom years ago. I did not believe it could work. I said it one of guys who is in company and he did gave me piece for free for testing and never looked back after that :)
Cleanliness is another great part of Taoms but for me less skids is N.1

If I was Taom I'd be sponsoring a certain player and putting together ads.
They got list of Taom sponsored players on their webpage. They also sponsor one time sponsor stuff sometimes. I heard they gave John Smichdt 100 Chalks for supporting his world record run tries when they heard he started use one. :)

That's good but I never heard of that chalk until this thread. Maybe more of a European thing. If Shaw ran 714 using that chalk I'd be advertising it heavily.

And by the way I love your milk duds. I'm hooked on it.

I believe Fedor Gorst is also using it.
