What kind of cue did U.J. Puckett have on ESPN Classic?

Hi all,

Watching the Classic Billiards Legends on ESPN last week, I loved seeing the oldtimers and their Bushkas and Rambows! Does anyone know what kind of cue that U.J. Puckett was using? It was different from everyone else's, and I'm thinking maybe Martin? I don't think it had a long enough buttcap for an early Tad and it didn't look quite right for a Coster...

It was indeed a Tad cue. One of my most prized possessions now.
In a later version of this show, he borrowed a cue from RandyG.

That is awesome!Do you have pics too?It would be something if you had Wimpys with the coin the in the butt. :)

I talked with Wimpy in Roanoake VA & he showed me his Tad w/ the gold piece inlaid & an ultra fancy Meucci Bob made for him. I remember that Tad felt mighty good! This was in the 80's & he said he'd play anybody on his 5 by 10 w/ 4 in. pockets.

Thanks for the answer! I looked closer in today's match with Fats and saw the wide rings. Nice cue to own!

A couple of days ago, Jimmy Caras was on with a Palmer. Love to see the old cues!

Wifey got me a new digital cam for Christmas.......it is waaaaaaaay to complicated for this old player to figure out. However, if i buy her a nice dinner and bribe her, then maybe i can put up pics of the old Tad and Fellini that Puckett used to play with. Wish me luck..........
