What kind of cue is this?

I'll vouch for Robin too. For whatever its worth
He's got more stories than the bible, but those aint my place to tell, just his.

and ill testify too, Robin aint very computer litterate. if he was, alot of you "so called" experts would be in trouble.

Maybe I should post up some more info on what I have accomplished and done in the last zillion years for all the youngsters that make up the majority of posters.

I think that would be a great thing, and I for one would be glad to hear what you have to say.!!:)

Take care

I am one of those youngsters yall speak of.

Just trust what cuaba and robin have to say. I know Robin personally and robin has told me about cuaba.

IMHO just take what they have to say and be grateful for the knowledge.

I'm no expert but looking at these old cues tells me the art of cue making has come a long way. I see $300 cues made today by quite a few cue builders that appear to be a vast improvement over this old stuff.

You can have that old stuff, valuable or not. Give me a thick pin, flat faced phenolic joint, and nice plain maple butt, and I'm a happy camper.

I sure wish I could get my Starkey back from M. Tadd, but no luck so far. At least if he's playing with it, that's cool.

Could not agree more!
You get more cue for your dollar today that ever before.

Keep an eye on the Chinese stuff ... there quality is gaining about as fast as the price is falling.
Say what you will but the new run of Chinese cues are remarkably high quality at a very low price.
All they need is to learn to properly taper the shafts with a decent profile.

I agree, Jay. I play with a plain tulipwood cue with great leather wrap and minimal ringwork. Omen. Great taper.

I can vouch for Adair,I have racked more for him in the last 30 yrs than anybody. I've heard all the stories and learned alot and it is worth hearing for young and old. He can tell a good joke too.
