what kind of lighting is best? and room temperature

This is probably not the right place for this.
I thought I'll ask the experts.

I'm buying a used diamond pro 9ft in mint shape.
1st question is lights.

Need to get some lights for it. I wanted to work great.
Also this is in a living room kitchen combo area.

I can fab together multiple lights of sorts, easy work.

The question is what is the best?

ideas are below, maybe get enclosed ones to get rid of glair?

1) t8's 4ft, get four doubles of them. use 1x4 or 2x4's to keep them together, what should the spacing be between each row?
maybe get two of these

2) use 3-4 round flourescents inline.

3) Just use two sets of t8 4ft inline.

What do you think? the table will install on the 12th.

I don't use heat in the house much at all, should I put a small oil heater type of a radiator under the table while I play to keep the table warm? Like right now the room temp is 56 F.

All help is appreciated.

if i were gonna fabricate a lighting array, i'd go with 8 17-34w tubes in 4, 2 tube fixtures.
make sure they are properly grounded or the kickers burn out quick.
using more individual fixtures is a pain but repairs are easier down the line, and it actually require less power overall at start up.
(you can build a somewhat simple rectangular wooden "frame" to house the individual fixtures together, which also acts as a frame for the difuser)

as for the temp of the room...thats up to you. its more a matter of keeping the temp constant. its the humidity that you dont want to get out of control.
some humidity is good, a lot is obviously bad. somewhere between 35% and 55% is a normal range.

This photo shows the " home-made " lighting array that I described above, with some cheesy fringe added around the bottom edge. Obviously the wood could be made more ornate if you wish, these are decidedly plain. (but for a reason. they are not supposed to detract from the rest of the room)

I like the T8 daylight tubes. I have two double 4 ft tube fixtures hangiing over my 8 footer and its great. I actually used worklight fixtures and hung them end to end. Sure beats the old round fixtures by a mile !!!

That's what I thought, I'm not interested in the 3-4 lamp ones. My room isn't going to be the darkest room during the day, and T8's light up nice.
Also w/ the standard hangdown fixtures always try to whack me on my head... :) I think I'm first going to try 2x 2 4ft T8's. This can be a work in progress. will see, keep them coming. :thumbup2:
