Just curious as to what fellow AZers consider
thier level of play to be at? (8 9 or 10 ball)
I'll start by saying at my best I'm a B- player.
It seems like everbody knows one another on
here and I've only met 2 people from AZ's forum &
that was just a little chit chat & a handshake.
So my reasoning is to get to know a little bit
about everyones game. Thanks

Beginner. Started playing a little under 2 years ago. Play league mostly, and some local in-house tourneys and such.

Having a ball.

Just returned to playing after 20 year hiatus. Getting better, still don't understand how APA ranks skill levels, I am a 4 according to them. Would be c+, the way I understood ranking. Hardest part is finding practice time and dealing with arthritis and other ailments that did not exist when I was younger. Harder to bend low, etc. However, I now find drills less boring and am learning to enjoy the game win or lose. Hope to continue getting better and am lining up lessons from a couple of local instructors. John

hi c low b

Using the joe tucker guaranteed improvement . spent about 4 hrs today on drill #8 and got to and sank the 6 ball only one time but my previous best was a good look at the 5 but a miss. Up 2 balls in 4 hours. It works!

C+ based upon Phil Capelle's descriptions of the skill levels given in his book "Play Your Best Pool". Maybe even just a C lately as I've lost a little fluidity and confidence in my stroke lately. I was playing better through the winter. I'm rebuilding it I hope and hope to push through to a B- within a few months and then keep on pushing for more.

Yes purpdrag that's what I based this poll on
Phil's "Pyramid of Excellence"

Yes

My level changes from day to day.
On Mondays, after a hard week-end, I'm at the basement level.
By Wednesday I've moved up to Men's Wear.
By Saturday night I'm all the way up to Ladies Lingerie. :)

I chose "C". But....that's on a GOOD day :embarrassed2:.

I know where I am in the food chain of the pool world.

I suck at pool!!!

Based on different ranking criteria I've seen, I went with A-, although I'm stronger at pattern games (14.1, 8-ball), than rotation games.

I consistently rank between A to SS on most of Tucker's drills. I normally shoot from B- (off day) to A- (in stroke) in local tournaments.

There are so many rating systems its confusing. I chose A.
I play in tournaments here in Colorado as a AA the very best in the state are AAA. I dont know how this would cross referance to other rating systems.

Very interesting response's
Yes it does matter from day to day & the equipment your on or useing.
I voted for B- that's where I'm at most of the time.
But just a couple of weeks ago if you'd have seen me shooting
you'd have said beginner.(it was a mental error)
But on the otherside I've shot like a B for months at a time.

Now come on thiers alot of you who haven't voted!
Nothing to be scared of.(unless your a hustler in disguise)?
If that's the case put down something lower to set up some action.
