What makes a teacher tick.

Last Tuesday I had one of my first students return from the high school as a volunteer to help out with my billiards class. He remembered the fundamentals well enough to help me instruct my students. He was also vigilant about enforcing the rules. He played a couple of games and played as well as I have ever seen him play.

By the end of the class I was swelled up with pride. Its cool to see the fruits of your labor make a difference.

It just goes to show, a dedicated educated school teacher, given a book and a little instruction can go a long way in making a difference in someone’s life. There are so many kids in school that would benefit from the game and how its able to add structure to ones life. It's only because of the current and past demographics of its existence that its acceptance is held back.
