What makes the best hitting shaft.

Spliced Joints, more or less LPI. Can a solid maple shaft even get close to being recognised as a good hitting shaft. I personally like the way the OB-1 shaft hits over the older predator 314. I never liked the Schon Shaft that came with my STL-19, 15 years ago.

The most expensive shafts are regular maple shafts.
Mosconi ran 526 with regular maple shaft.
Efren won the world 8, world 9 and world 1 pocket with regular shaft.
OB1's are great shafts.
So are regular shafts.

Hell, I bet even a shaft that had a HORRIBLE hit/sound, like the sound from a loose ferrule, any player could play their normal game with it given enough practice.

I remember when Shane still played his old Joss/Schon combo. He played with
a loose ferrule for quite a while. Drove everyone nuts. He played kinda sporty with it.
