Well ... I've been playing for 55 years. Straight pool and 1pkt are neck and neck. I can enjoy an outing of 8 ball now and again. Don't mind a little 4 handed Chicago, but really don't care much for 9 and 10 ball.

These days I put most of my effort into peeing without getting any on my shoes.

Played about 15 years. Still enjoy and play 8-ball more than any other game. I love playing and watching snooker and 1P, too. I pretty much play rotation games only for cheap ring games and social circumstances. Got into live streaming for a while but that got old real quick, but still do it every now and then. These days I just play league one night per week, teach a little bit to amateurs, play for fun, and most importantly, simply try to enjoy the game as much as I can.

Im 40 and have been playing on and off since I was 14. I use to go to the night clubs with $20 buy a beer get 2 bucks in quarters and drink free for the rest of the night. that got me hooked on the game . than I made a family the nightclubs disappeared. Started hanging out at a neighborhood bar. Was a team Captain for 2 years on a BCA team and when they closed I stopped . It reopened some time later. and about 6 months ago I was playing with a local drunk that would always play pool with me he was pretty good a little better than me but I could get him if he screwed up. so I wanted more. Started looking for bars with better players didn't like the pool halls couldn't get games unless it was $100 im not that good yet. I was playing in my neighborhood bar and a girl from another bar said there was a Sunday night tournament at the one she worked at . I figured what the hell most people will not play unless they are pretty good and think they can win. I might be able to learn something pay $5 bucks if I win cool if not im only out $5 better than $100 a game . Than I was practicing at another local bar The owner would let me practice for free if I cam in before the regulars. he told me his friend has a $5 tournament on Thursdays. Cool more people Ive never played . went there and these guys were laid back not these fast talking hustlers you see in the pool halls. they played good most of the guys were on leagues. and wile playing in one of the tournaments I was asked to play on an APA team. I agreed. I started looking for some quality info on line and found AZ. Picked up on a pool table off craigs list . Set up my Billiard University dots for some drills and off I went .

Been playing since I was a child of single digit age. Banks is my favorite game followed closely by rotation games, 1 pocket and 14.1

Shooting pool was social time up till now, competition seems to have taken over, and so, I’m new at it.
I’ll poll promoting 4Ball; someone said enjoying what you do and being able to make a living at it is the best of both worlds, having something to look forward too, is, just as good. I’ve now played 8, 9, 10ball with some of the best in our area with a rare handicapped match win or two. This 4Ball stuff, the better shooter scores for the win every time; out of a couple dozen what I consider to be a competitive match, I haven’t won one yet, of course everyone is a pro, there is no handicapping and first second is worth something.

5 years and straight pool, though I've only played it solo on a barbox. Would have chosen 8 ball if it was an option.
