What new Cue ball should I buy?

I guess the Arcos 2 cueball is same look as black measles but with trianglesView attachment 624232

Gosh, IMO, it’s not that close other than using a different geometric shape vs. dots.
It more resembles the Predator cue ball and I don’t really care for that much either.
The red dot Aramith measles ball is my choice until I can score a black dot Aramith.

they make a specific measel-style for the Black set. It is available singly but nobody has them. good looking CB. https://www.pooldawg.com/aramith-black-measles-cue-ball
Yup, this is the best looking duramith measel you can get imho. As others have indicated though burn marks are just part of the game. It bugged me to at first but once they are literally everywhere you just get used to seeing them. Break pad helps a bit but your gonna get that burn line all the way to the rack no matter what cue ball you get.

The Black measel is Duramith and the Arcos are SAPro so the Black will probably leave less marks(not by much tho) due to it being harder.
I have all three. Black Measles Duramith, Black Arcos II Triangles and Centennial (among others) I know all the talk about the difference between Arcos II and Duramith but in real world play I can not tell ANY difference in burn marks (Both leave none really) or contact marks. I know that is not scientific, but I ordinarily play 10 to 15 hours a week and change my ball set on the table every 3 to 4 days. I can not tell any difference at all, and BOTH OF THE BLACK SPOTTED CUE BALLS ARE OFF THE CHART ON THE "COOL METER" ! :)

Wanted a spotted cue ball for awhile, so a few months back I ordered a Arcos II. Probably would have ordered a black spot Duramith, but none were available. The Arcos is a really sharp looking, and stays clean really well. As my wife and I are mid level players, I really like the feed back given by the spin of the ball. I will say this, and it is something I never have herd mentioned before, and I never picked up on it. We have a friend of my wife's over occasionally to play pool that is a past state champion, and she will coach and work with my wife while we play. She will watch my wife closely on all aspects of her shooting and right away picked up on at times my wife was concentrating on the triangles and not her cue tip placement. I never saw it, but she picked up on it right away watching her shoot. She's really great to have over to shoot with, I like the added challenge, and she is a really great friend and mentor to my wife. So while I never caught my self aiming off because of the triangles, I guess it is something to think about for some.

If you are worried about burn marks you are chasing your tail. Pool cloth is a wear item and burn marks are the most common wear. If you want to mitigate burn marks at the spot where you break from, use a break cloth (remnant piece of 860). Changing the cue ball will have very little effect on reducing burn marks.

Does anybody else use these? I've been using them for several years. While my cloths still get burn marks along the trail from the break spot to the rack, the break spot doesn't get that large burn area that develops if you don't use a piece of cloth or similar. I think you get 10 in a pack and a pack lasted me about a year and a half.

Yes my Centennial cue leaves burn marks that's why I started this. I was trying to see which ball to get that will cut down burns even if it's 25% less just to save on the new 860HR cloth. I think I'm going to just use a piece of extra cloth for breaking as well but love the look of the Black measles and the Arcos with arrows

Just use a simple piece of paper under the cue ball when breaking. I cut a note book page in half, its about 3" x 3" and doesn't affect the path of any balls that roll over it. I used to use a break pad but then I started looking at burn marks like a badge of honor, the more you have the more you are using your table. Not only that but I couldn't prevent the wear marks in the rail grooves anyway so the best you can do is eliminate some burn marks but not all.

Only way to do this is never break hard, jump or masse. Even then some hard draw and stop shots may leave slight marks. No such thing as a CB that doesn't leave burnmarks.
he is obviously playing a different game.

Pick up only……..a little over $50 incldg. Canadian Tax (Ontario) but that is for a store curbside pickup.
Couldn’t obtain a quote for the cue ball shipped to the USA. I’ll stick with the red measles ball for now.
Just went in and it's $20 shipping for me in Ontario. Just bought the Blue dot Measles that Diamond has for their TV tables so will see how it looks on the Tourney blue Simonis cloth

Shizzle.

My post should have read:
I don't even know how it is possible to play 10b without hitting the ball hard.
