what other pool forums do you guys like

Gee Spetty was it really that important to spend all that time disecting WW's comments?
Get anything accomplished? It must be nice to have all that time to waste.

Is CCB clubby? Of course it is.

Do they have favorites, like Scott Lee? Of course they do.

And they deleted that post you linked to.

And has CCB become a self admiration society. Yep again.

And do I care about any of the above. Nope.

Nor do I spend much time on CCB.

Did the clubbies chase any knowledgeable posters away? Yep

Does AZB have a bunch of pros and knowledgeable posters? Yup Yup Yup.

So why bother to waste time on any other board when I can learn so much more here?

Jake

PS: Is your pool room all finished now?

how did you get so paranoid?

why don't you come to the Open next year. you'll find out we're all pretty normal folks. like andy and barney :)

Good point wally. Many of you I have not met in person, but it does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that there are many nice people on ccb and on az.

Good to see you. Hope you are doing well with your pool.

Howdy jjinfla,

Important? Nah. Really, it took no time at all. Accomplish anything? Nope, not a thing. I think he just caught me on a bad day when he AGAIN starts in with the same erroneous crap that no one ever seems to challenge.

No more so than AZB...

They deleted the originating post by WW at WW's request - the rest of the thread is still there. I linked to it to show that WW was not "laughed out" of the place as he has said on more than one occasion.

jjinfla said:

I don't even know what that means.

I miss you there. :(

jjinfla said:

See, I guess that's where I miss the point. I don't know about clubbies and I don't think there is an organized group of people that chase posters away. Yes, I have seen bad behavior on the part of some posters, but I've seen that here as well. They are often called out on it, but no one seems to remember that part.

jjinfla said:

CCB too.

jjinfla said:

I don't think time is wasted on either board (obviously! :) ) I do think that to learn stuff here, you have to go through a lot more irrelevant stuff. Which is fine if you have the time. One of the things that I like about CCB but that seems to bother hondo is that there's not a lot of folks chirping up with "me too" and "I agree" and "great post" type of posts. Less to wade through.

Thanks for remembering. It's close to being finished, but there's still a some painting and finish work left to do before I can truly call it "finished". It's got a couple of tables, though, and it's a fun place to play. :)

Hell Ray, I can answer that. Because he was a vulgar, insulting, disrespectful, bigoted blowhard.

sound about right?

But I think that on CCB you have pawned off some of your duties to secret moderators like 9 Ball Girl, heh?

I can assure you that Wendy is not a moderator on the CCB.

Just tell us the real reason FL was kicked off. What is your power or was it due to the uppers in the Billiards Digest World?

I have wondered for a while why people think that I would ban FL on the CCB but allow him on AzB. I guess they think that I want the controversy to draw traffic to AzB, but I really don't.

The powers that be at CCB have expressed the desire for FL to be banned at any time he appears on the CCB under any alias. No more chances and no questions asked.

I don't ban anyone on CCB without getting approval from the powers that be over there. It is not my forums and I don't have the decision making power over there. I occasionally offer my opinion on things, but never make the final decision.

Mike,
Thanks for clearing that up, I am sure that there are a lot of decent posters that will believe you.
Unfortunately, I doubt that WW will accept this as the final word.

Unless you post the same reply under APA7

Do you remember when a new poster (my wife) asked PoolDawg (I forgot his original handle) what BARF stood for and you jumped in from out of nowhere and demanded to know what BARF had to do with pool or her post? This was in the days when there was no non-pool forum.

I responded to you that BARF stood for 'Bones and Raw Food' and that even though this had nothing to do with pool or the original post, it was an attempt to be social.
You certainly have an interesting way with words.

House cop? Traffic cop? I don't think so.

I didn't attack your wife. I don't think you made the response that you remember...

Here's your BARF thread...

This is getting to be a soap opera.

We have Tom in Cinci, but he doesn't live in Cinci he lives in California.

Two wolves, White and Blue, happily married, attacked by another wolf, Yapping, who turns out to be Dave Syrja. Really? Never would have thunk that.

Then Blue gives up the wolf and becomes Strikeout. I think. Is that like in baseball? Or to Strike out on your own or against someone?

Mike is APA 7 and actually runs two boards. This one and CCB. Not enough Jack Daniels in the world for me to undertake that task. Is there any money in it?

WW has a terrific memory - but sometimes that can be a great burden. Many things are better forgotten.

Is Dave really Yapping Wolf? I can't believe that.

I thought that ISP's could not be traced back to an individual computer but just to a general geographical location. But I am sure that it won't be long before all computers will be forced to generate an identifier every time they send. Motorola has that on their radios (Ham) for over a dozen years that I know of. For all I know computers might do that now.

Anyway, where else can a person have so much fun, and learn so much, all for free?

Hey Susan. I read that and got a good laugh. A good laugh at myself from over two years ago. I never had any problem with you that I recall, or if I did, I forgot it long ago, and I certainly do remember your good posts. GEEZ. That comment by you was minor.

I told Ray last night that the mistakes I made on ccb when I was first on there, I tried to make amends to people that I needed to and really felt that I was on peaceable terms with everyone there, whether they like me or not. When he posted all that stuff on ccb, I really blewup. Don't exactly why but I was pretty 'hot' last night after things he said here about ccb , but I went to the poolhall to work it out and played straight for about 5 hours. Don't get real angry anymore, but guess I am just human in that respect.

But, aside from that personal note, I just do not see the point of saying bad things about ccb on az or vice versa. Now, I am not going to read this thread anymore for obvious reasons.

I apologize about this post. I got in without the

AZ is the best

;) :p ;) :p I think Mike Howerton and AZ billiards is the ultimate pool site even though I really like Southern Billiards site and NOLA.Com's local billiards discussion about New Orleans pool scene. It would be hard to improve on the job Mike H. has done as a moderator. :p  :p

I promise, I will never post another message as APA7.
Since you made that promise Mike, I will reciprocate by promising never to post another message *here* as Flex. Bear in mind I'm not promising "Flex" won't post here again; I'm just promising that it won't be me doing the actual typing.

That being said, in keeping with the original topic of this thread I will reiterate with my more well known handle that one of my favorite pool forums besides this one is the Christian Pool Players Forum at www.billiards-pool.net. I am sorry to report that it does not get much traffic though. Apparently there is not a great deal of interest in Christianity within the hard-core pool playing community.

Happy Holidays,

This is just getting better and better all the time. Anyone could figure out that was Tom. But APA7, oh God, you have the power!!!!!!
You have demonstrated that you have the same power as APA7, although perhaps in a different form. It is within you ready to be tapped at any time. It always has been. Use the Force.

Up to this point nobody has chimed in with the LEAST favorite forum. AZ is definitely the best along with a great bunch of fun and knowledgable guys, but the alligator pit of 'em all has to be RSB.

I... also like http://www.billiards-pool.net as the advice one finds there on pool matters is top notch
It just got better even better Flex, as Grady Mathews has his own forum over there now.

Also, in late breaking news, it was revealed by a prominent pool insider that all the internet billiards forums except for Billiards-Pool.net are run by Nazis.
