What type of tape does Earl use on his cue? I’ve noticed Shane also tapes his cue. I’m somewhat interested because I shoot with an extension and I’m kind of interested in taping over the joint of the butt and the extension

I do not know what he wraps it with however I will see him eventually as he frequents “The Spot”. Will gladly ask but it won’t be for a few weeks. In the meantime experiment. Try a wrap of some kind.

Yes, that. I have seen someone at my regular pool hall use a cue that was taped same way, but looks like it was white linen tape or something, was not puffy like tennis wrap would be.

All we need now, we have players using gloves and Cuetecs thanks to SVB, 7 foot cues and now tape due to Earl.

If I get to be a famous pool player, I am going to stick oranges on the end of my cues and say it helps with vibration and balance to see how many people copy me. :cool:

I was told by a top asian player that predators wear out after 5-6 months at the rate they practice. They don't want to break in a new shaft that often so they are just not a possibility.
 
I notice that giving opposite effect cause the cue ball opens..with low deflection not..

But im agree with high deflection..

Suppose we have a bank shot and the angle is not enoguh..we need to transfer effect to the object ball..

And..among the high deflection..what do you recommend me between maple and arce?

i have been pm ing with giulichajari since i speak enough spanish to try and answer some of his questions
he has some stubborn ideas regarding ld shafts
he likes regular shafts which is fine
i think the player has to decide whats best for him or her
but
i tried to explain that tennis players dont play with wood racquets and golf club technology has advanced and so has pool shafts
anyway the discussion came up with how many pros still play with a regular shaft
and i thought it would be a good thread
my conclusion is most pros are using the modern technology
but you can play supreme level pool with a straight broomstick with a good tip if you practice enough and have talent...:D

Yeah, if your name is Earl. You realize that most folks on the planet, let alone, league players, do not have the stroke of Earl Fuggin Strickland, right?

Thus, if LD lets me use inside English on long shots better than traditional maple, who is it hurting ?

I could practice 12 hours a day, for the rest of my life, and I'll never have Earl's stroke, never.
