Just an update to those of you who play pool for serious long periods of time. Most feet will ache after playing for 10-12 hours at a time.
That being said, while my Mephisto Match shoes are very comfortable and quite heavy they too will let my feet down. I went to www.goodfeet.com, actually in metairie, la. They specialize in arch support and have a machine that scans your feet. After scanning, they recommend a particular arch support or not for your feet. They are expensive. I forget how much but it made me wince.
The bottom line is my feet feel better than ever. At first my right foot felt like I was standing on a hockey puck. The left didn't hurt at all. I complained about how much my right foot hurt and they said I would get used to it. I did and my feet feel great. I can even switch shoes for a day and not suffer with my feet even though my other shoes don't have the special arch support. Yeah, I know, I'm a sucker for every new thing that comes out but my feet do feel better.
Naot loafers with custom inserts. Biggest thing for me is that the soles are flat. Played in cowboy boots once for 10 hours that arch killer you afte awhile still regret that session
Depends on the game I play. For an example, during 9ball game I wear Simonis sneaky petes and when comes to 10ball I mostly wear Martens.
However,it doesn't mean anything what do youw wear when you play.It is much important do you still wear them after the game is finished:wink:
