What State Has Produced the Most High Caliber Players?

Hard to argue with NC on this one. Can't believe nobody's mentioned the mayor yet, Wimpy Lassiter. He and Earl make quite a one-two. New York, California and TX could probably compile long lists of champions as well.

*Edit - Sorry, Lassiter was mentioned in the first post and I missed it.

You ain't kiddin'

Maybe this thread should have been called "Isnt NC the greatest pool state ever?"

Voodoo Daddy:

You ain't kiddin'. Especially with the "...the normal guy can run out around here... ...man I can go on. Help me out guys" sales-pitch / rally-call at the end. It should've said, "...help me out fellow-NC'ers" instead. :D

Just kiddin', NC'ers. Dontgetchahacklesup! :D

To be honest with you, I'm kind of complaining. It's kind of like there's a medium tier, and then up from there. What happened to being to play guys that just don't run out? I thought this might stir up some shi#. Just like I said in the original post.

I didnt know Wimpy was from this area...=) SUPER COOL!

Mike Fuller, Mike Davis, Jeff Abernathy, B.J.Ussery, Michael Coltrain, Keith Crawford....=)

Keith Crawford? I haven't seen his name on any of the tournament boards. What is he some kind of off-radar road player?

The others on the list, I'm familiar with.

Once again, I'm a proud APA 3. I have a jacket with two, count'em two, break and run patches.

NC wins this by a coochie hair, there are some spots where they do breed some great players but NC is just a playground.

Now I know that the NC guys are leaving Dave Carver off this list on purpose right? Afterall he's only beaten Archer even(lots of times), Hopkins in his prime, Grady while he was playing well, and just about every other world champion you can think of. Used to be a road partner with Earl Strickland. Umm yeah stone cold champion. Eventhough he has a drug problem these days he still gets out, plays that one hole too good(the whole state of NC might need a lil weight from him still), and has a stroke that's smoother than a baby's bottom.

Those are the proven guys...theres probably another 20 players who are just one ball away from breaking through, we'll call them the honorable mention list.

Dave CArver?? hmmm..sounds familiar but can't place him....
Oh yea....Cliff Joyner...from Rocky Mount=))

Brian Ezell, and Charlie Brinson. Two wild men in their own right.

Man is short for Manuel. Efren's cousin that lives outside of Sanford.

Oh yeah, Charlie "Hillbilly" Bryant. As bad as I hate to say it, Robert Ray. There Robert, I said it.
