What The H*ll Is With Charlie Williams!!!

Charlie won alot of events in early part of the decade but been slow at winning last couple years. Good to see him back in form again, mostly due to his protege Yu Ram Cha from what I hear

Protege Shmotege!!! I don't understand what you're saying. How is Cha, Yu Ram being Charlie William's protege cuase him to do well in tournamnets?

By the way, I live in Korea, what ever Yu Ram knows about pool she learned from Park, Shin Young. He taught her how to play, along with her sister Cha, Bo Ram. I believe Charlie Williams is more of a mentor/shaparone for her competing in the states.

The only thing I can see why Charlie is winning more is because he is spending more time practicing. This would be because he hired Cindy Lee to run his Dragon Promotions company.

Do you mean she is a good sparing partner for him?

Or has she been some kind of inspiration or muse for him?

I think there is a pretty steep learning curve involved and he has come over the rise over the last year.

Sure, tons of work involved getting there, but I feel much of his recent successes are a result of a comfort-level he has attained in competition.
 
Charlie has gone through a spurt like this before where he was on top of his game for a while and then he slowed down. Maybe, now that he is not running Dragon Promotions he will start to compete again. He is a good player.

She is a good sparring partner for him... For the last year she has been training with Charlie in Orlando. With him picking up the cue seriously and not as much overseas traveling has definitely paid off for him.

I lived in Korea for 8 years and know Park Shin-young very well. Where are you? In Seoul? Military or teaching? Always nice to see an expatriate on this site... :)

He's always played good. I think he's spent more time in his promotions than practicing. His gear is always there. Its just pool when a player goes a while without finding a hot seat. Also when they can't stay out of them to.
