What This Hoppe Titlist Worth? Maybe For Sale

There is no mention of that in the description. Maybe it is the lighting? But I did notice that there are some figured grains on the maple forearm, sort of like curly maple. Those at the period of time are considered to be defects! but now in this era they seems to harder to come by and sort after. If the veneers in the points are indeed cracked then the cue is really not worth any more investments.

could be so i cant say 100%. but ive done a few conversions myself and i know what im lookin at.look at the dark line between the purple and green veneer at the topof the point. it may not be bad yet but im 90% sure its comming apart.

I looked at the cue again and that thin line is actually a darker purple color but now a gap.

Any problem this cue has, crack or not, can be fixed by any experienced cuemaker. The decal can also be saved without too much effort. If not, Classic Billiards is reproducing all of the old BBC decals to perfection.

Now, quit stringing us along and give a cash price....:p

I personally looked at this hoppe blank and it's a perfect piece for conversion. All the points are even (Near Perfect and can be turn to perfect easily by any competent cuemaker) and the grain is tight and the original shaft is in excellent condition . Both the butt and shaft is straight..which is really rare...the butt is way oversize so the crack will probably cut out. I hit several rack with this cue and it plays sweet (personally I would convert this cue)...wish I jump on it before Vass did.
Good Luck with the sales...let me know if you change you mind on the trade with some of my cues.

Regards
