Instead just play a shot at a time and do not compare yourself to what you have done in the past or how well you should perform against an opponent. Do not pay attention to the score or where you are in a rack. Doing this will help your mental game and if it is basics your having a problem with, not to worry as it will re-appear when you are not looking for it. Just enjoy.
your right, considering how I have played in the past, people expect me to run out everytime I get a shot, and if I miss.....because I have dished out such pain in the past, I get ridiculed..
My problem is that Im looking to practice and go to big tourney's, i dont have the competition here to keep me sharp, 99% of these people have begged me "please let me win" so I let up... I think I have let up too many times, and now Im having trouble with my game... Basicaly all dressed up an no where to go... I dont even have plans for any tourneys, I have no goals, and now I have no game, I am a damn good teacher, and have thought of teaching the game to others and I have, and I really enjoy it....
Maybe, I'll just quit, with so many tapes and DVD's out, teaching the game looks like a dead end... I had my chance at fame once, I let it go, It didnt seem important at the time... If anyone is interested in a nearly new schon STL8 PM me..
I quit.....
