Hi guys ;)
Like in subject, what shall I use to clean my pool table cloth (simonis 860) from chalk marks and other ordinary dirty marks ?

I bought some time ago Ambersil pool cloth cleaner, but the score wasn't best... so I wondering what's best product Or best home way method to clean this cloth.

Thanks for your help.

Vacuum. Use the horse hair brush attachment. In between vacuums, I wipe a micro fiber towel over it. The microfiber takes the chalk off the surface like a magnet.

Damp Rag. Go the same direction with the grain of the cloth. not to much pressure and chalk will come off very easy. I got that tip from Diamond when they brought my table.works great. Use a micro fiber towel. Hope this helps.

Never use a rotating brush of any kind.

What? Never said a powered brush. The horsehair attachment that comes with all vacuums. The horsehair allows air to come in from the sides so you don't lift the cloth. If its tight, it shouldn't. But some tables loosen up.

here's what I do twice a week.

vacuum table with a low-ish suction vac using a wide narrow brush attachment - the ideal one according to RKC is from Sears.

then the simonis x-81 over all cloth.

then l goover the entire cloth with damp cotton t-shirt.

the idea is to not introduce dampness on a chalky cloth.

vac 1st, x-81 second, *then* damp cotton.

While I'm doing this I have my balls spinning in the polisher and I always change out the tefco spot during cleaning.

A quality brunswick brush (old one) gets me by during the in-between cleaning periods.

best,
brian kc
