What tournaments has Charlie Williams won as an individual?

I know he won a bunch of 'Florida' tournaments on the way up.

And I would like to identify korean Dragon Promotions Tournaments
seperate from other tour wins?

I just can't get that easy 6 ball he missed in the Mosconi Cup against
Steve Davis out of my head ...

Scott you would be surprised at how many easy shots the pros miss when they are under intense pressure. It happens all the time. Let me put it this way...the Mosconi Cup is a team event, and you are playing for your country against another country. The fans at these events go absoloutely nuts. He was probably shaking like a leaf and just flat out dogged it. If you were in the same situation, you would probably do the same thing. Don't knock the guy unless you've been in his shoes. As far as I know you haven't played on TV. If you think Charlie can't play, he freqents this site and you can ask him to play you some.

All questions to Charlie will go on deaf ears....he posts his tourney stuff and moves on. Using Az as an advertisement media. That is all.

Also, everyone misses, pros just less often the rest of us. I had a accustat tape with Efren playing Earl, race to 100 for a million in Hong Kong. Efren misses ball in hand!
I found that a bit comforting ;-)....

Charlies Williams won a Turning Stone Invitational event in back in August of 2001 playing in a field that included Immonen, SanSouci, Rempe, Basavich, Parica, Archer, Sambajon and more.., Earlier, in May of 2001, he lost 11-10 to Efren and placed 3rd in a Turning Stone Classic event in a field that included Bustamante, Reyes, Pagulayan, Luat, Archer, Parica, Rempe, Frank, Varner, Hall, Hopkins, Immonen, Deuel, Feijen and more...

Many people may have opinions about Williams in regards to the UPA, Dragon Promotions and pool politics but make no mistake about it, Charlie Williams can play!

He won what I think was the first Big Apple 9 Ball Classic in Queens about 3 years ago. Beat Efren twice in the finals ...

It just goes to show that everyone is human, even Efren.

Yes! Despite whatever reservations one might have as far as his politics in pool, Charlie is no slouch.

He can hang with anyone at any given day. Just doesn't get recognized as such because he's not a flashy guy... like a few other players I can think of.

Charlie also won the 2003 Big Apple Nine Ball challenge, a UPA event that, because it came within a week of the International Challenge of Champions, had a star studded field. If memory serves, Souquet, Yang, Reyes, Bustamante, Hohmann and Pagulayan were all in the field.

Charlie is unquestionably one of the elite players, both in tournaments and after hours action. IMO he would have won more if he had not been running the tournament he was playing in (anyone who has ever done this knows how tough it is). I'm in agreement that every top player in history has missed a bunny at one time or another. This just shows how difficult this game really is; it just takes one momentary lapse in concentration or attack of nerves to miss even the easiest shot. BTW, a HOFer by the name of "Cowboy" Jimmy Moore never won a major tournament.

Charlie Williams and Ralf Souquet are the only players to beat Efren twice and win the title in the same tournament in the last 13 years. That is worth something IMO.
