What type of person would throw their hands up and yell in celebration after a miss?

I think a few people have noted that Orcollo had his back turned when Archer threw his hands up in the air (as if Orcollo did not even see it). Well, if you watch the video carefully, then you will see that Archer still had his hands up in the air at the time that Orcollo had turned his head around (toward Johnny), so I am sure that Orcollo did in fact notice Archers hands up in the air like that. Also, some have noted that Archer sat back down as soon as he realized that maybe he was behaving in a disrespectful manor. Well, that is also not true. I think that he sat back down to catch his breath, so he could remain calm and focused (and this was around 30 seconds after he threw his hands up in the air like that, and also had himself a drink of water). I do not think that he sat back down out of respect for Orcollo (or for any other reason that others have stated). These are just my opinions, and just stating the way I feel about his behavior. I understand that most of you do not agree, and that is okay. Sorry for creating this thread. It was just shocking to see my all time most favorite pool player act like that. Hopefully Orcollo was not offended by the way Archer acted (as some of you have stated). Sorry for bumping this thread up again.

Someone agreed with you?

If you actually went out and played some competitive pool instead of posting nonsense on here everyday, you may have less questions.

Just a thought

yes, dennis saw it and i think he was a little pissed.......for me, it was no good move from archer, but kinda understandabale in this situation (tho he should know it better)!

I post my thoughts and questions about stuff that comes to mind. Is that not what forums were meant for? Louisville is about the most boring place (for pool players, because of the lack of actual serious pool players) that I have ever lived. Here is a city of around a million people, and the average weekly tournament gets maybe 8 players on average. That is pretty weak. So, yeah, I have been so depressed with the pool scene, that I just never feel like going out to shoot anymore. The pool scene here is basically just weekly leagues (which I find to be very boring). I love the sport of pool, and I love to be around strong players. If I thought there was any competition to actually see in this city, then I would go out and try to find out where it is going on at. I am just very lonely and depressed, so that is why I find myself on this forum all of the time. Trust me, I would much rather be around some great live pool action. I do not know, maybe I have just gone to the pool rooms at bad times (when they are very dead), but I have not seen (or heard of) anything to get excited about (that is pool related, in Louisville, other then the DCC). If I am wrong, then I would love to hear about any great pool action going on in this area (of Louisville).

I agree, cept maybe the water part, didn't pay attention to what he was drinking.

I am really sickened by the way that Johnny Archer acted after Dennis Orcollo miscued on a shot.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAjrTe5s0Ps

I do not know Johnny Archer, and I do not know what type of person he is (I have honestly not followed his career, or seen his behavior after during most of the matches that he has ever played), but he was my most favorite player as a kid, and I always looked up to him.

I can't believe that he (or any Pro player player, who regularly plays in front of an audience) would act like that.

Is this normal behavior for Johnny Archer?

Just curious.

I am sorry, but I just happened to stumble on to that video, and was shocked by the way that Johnny Archer acted, after Orcollo made an error (miscue) on a hil/hill game for the Championship title.

I had to re watch it several times, because I was in such disbelief about the way he acted.

I am sorry if this topic has already been posted about.

Been playing pool for 50 years I played when it was fun and there was money in the game. I played it when the players were colorful and exciting. It is people like this guy that have come into the game and taken all that away turning it into a boring game that no one cares about. Makes me wonder why I even play anymore. We all know football is way more popular than pool and when a player misses a game winning field goal what does the other team do? When a game winning free throw is missed what does the other team do? They celebrate just like Archer.

That may be..But like I said, not all sports yell and cheer at another players misfortune...Maybe in team sports but not in individual sports...
