Same here Ken and I look forward to the next tournament you're set up at so I can drool some more on those cues :-)

I can now say that I have seen a Balabushka, Szamboti(Barry and Gus), Gina, McWorter, Cantando etc...
Unreal buddy.

Joel Hercek and Dennis Searing are sure bets. I think Skip Weston cues will be coveted because of his razor sharp point work and use of natural colored veneers. Rarity and craftsmenship? Murray Tucker is a shoe in.

ironchef you got a nice collection going there... ;)

Thanks Bruce! Let me say I'm enjoying some of the threads you post on here. Very valid and interesting questions about collecting! Keep them coming!

Mark Bear<-- up and coming full spice cuemaker... aka if you cannot wait for a JH get a Bear

Mark is making a full splice cue alright, but don't think for a minute that it's going to be a Hercek or the same. Mark does some things to a cue that Joel would never consider doing and probably vice-versa. They have one similarity, but that's about it.

Richard Harris (Bluegrass)??? Not taking orders, at least 5 year wait...great hit. I also agree that Chris Nitti is highly underrated, sorry I traded the one I had. :p

broken record?

I hate to sound like a broken record, but in 10 years or so after getting his name "out there", I honestly think Bob Dzuricky will be one of these guys. he makes an awesome cue, and he's very personable also. I think all it'll take is getting one of his cues in the "right" hands, and he'll be a star. some of his designs are great! some of you don't know him yet...but give it time, you will! I think he'll be one of the next "most sought after" cue-maker's out there. this may be my opinion...we'll have to wait and see. Andy Gilbert would be my next choice. he makes a nice cue also. I never should have let mine go, but I did, and want another one. yes...I regret selling it. :( as far as others go...I really am not THAT familiar with cue-makers as most of the players here play with schon cues or DZ cues or predator cues. most of the better players play with predator cues or DZ cues. some play with schon, but not that many. right now, I'm trying to find a cue design program to see what i'll have made here shortly. anyone know of one?

HEY MAN NO BODY MENTIONED ME! my cues don,t get around to much thou put been trying hard to build the best hitting cues around only one problem i might not make it to see the next best known cue builder. but i will say one thing theres some great ones out there and the forums such as the ask the cue maker forum helps to share info and make all of the cue builders to raise there level of art if they want to stay known because theres alot of guys gaining great nowlege in a hurry not having to find out things the hard way like richard black and scruggs did there for there raising there level alot faster for that reason i would say it will be someone you would not mention on this forum at this time. www.madisonbobs.com

MY 3 favorite cue makers I think people will want in the future are kenny murell, BCM love the finish, and gilbert I think there realy hot cues right now because they all do realy good work and there prices are very fair right now get them before they sky rocket or they go to japan....

Never heard of you. I would me more than happy if ya sent me a plain jane cue. I pay for the shipping. I try it out and let ya no if I like it or not Pm me I give ya my address I realy think ya should try this out as my budies are cue dealers and if we like it There will be a big boom of orders ;) :D

Andy Gilbert would be my vote also. Travis Niklich of Blackcreek Cues is making some great cues also. He will be making some fancier cues in the near future. Travis learned a lot from Andy Gilbert and they are friends. There are a lot of up and coming cuemakers out there.

I know this will rub some people wrong, but i have owned several Gilberts and while they have all played well his workmanship is less than meticulous.Wrap issues, visible glue lines in and around inlays, cracking in finsh and an actual crack in the wood on a forearm(these are brand new cues).I don't want to come on here and totally knock this guy b/c he makes a great playing cue but I don't see how he can even be compared to Skip Weston or Dennis Searing or Richard Harris and the list goes on and on.Murray Tuckers are sweet Kenneth Murrells are nice and economical,by far the best value for the money.Never played with a James White but they look nice.maybe i have just had bad luck with my Gilberts but i don't see what all the ranting and raving is about.

I've never heard this nor seen it. Why would you have owned several? When was the last time you owned one? Did you tell Andy about you feelings?

I agree that BCM,Jim Buss, skip weston but has anyone checked out jensen cues oh what a fine cue he makes.

Anyone care to guess 10 year from now what Unknown, or Little Know Custom Cuemakers Cues will have Appreciated the Most, be the Most in Demand, or be the Cue people will be saying. I wish had had bought one of those when they were only_ _ _ _, and now there is a -_ _ Year wait to get one, and the price is Sky High.

I am talking about Beauty, Art, Hit, and all the Qualities that make a GREAT CUE....

;)

MY TOP FOUR WOULD HAVE TO BE 1. ANY GILBERT 2.KENNY MURELL 3. BCM 4.BLACKCREEK 5.PAT DEVINEY OK THAT 5 BUT i REAL LIKE ALL THESE MAKERS AND i OWN A KENNY MURRELL CUE AND THEY HIT AND LOOK AWSOME.

I still won't go as far as to venture any guesses, but I'll say that I wouldn't be surprised to see BCM cues become high-end classics. His designs are incredibly clean.

Actually, I will put in one vote: Zylr.

My hope is both Skip Weston and Andy Gilbert. Skip does some truly awesome work! I've been spoiled by his hardwood "veneers" and outstanding point work. He also does some of the cleanest inlay work I've ever seen. Andy Gilbert does great work too, but, in my opinion, his point and inlay work isn't quite on the same level as Skip's yet. Of course I think they both play great...lol.

I'd like to get me a Gilbert player to go along with my J/B but I'm not buying anymore cues...lol. We've got a couple of us together for a support group if anyone else cares to join. :D :p  :p :D
Skip Weston has cooled off but he gets my vote!
