Here is one, that made me feel good. It's not a great shot, but I felt good that I saw it and executed it well.

I loved this shot. Nice eye seeing the draw of the kiss.

Here is one I played. Had to kick the 5 ball in off the rail and get position on the 6.

Lots of follow through draw...

I remeber my first year I was playing pool when I made that shot and...: please be advice that this could be disturbing to some viewers!

Ok, I was breaking and my firend (my pool team menager) was making fun of me right in the line of shot. He was on his knees on the other side of the table and it was trying to distract me. His efforts has good results and when I struck the cue ball he got shot right in his left eye:eek:

This was a couple or three years ago during an eight ball league. Opponent frozed me to the rails behind one of his stripes. I decided to go for a kick at the yellow one ball into the upper right corner pocket as there were no easy safety and you can see my team members visibly slump their shoulders when I indicated the pocket, one of the reasons being that my opponent was one of the tops seeds in that tournament and he could easily run out if I made a mistake.
Anyway I sized up the angles and got down on the shot. The amazing thing about this shot was not that I made the one ball or that I played with just enough speed to get shape on the two as planned but as I was stroking I had this confidence that I'd make it and was stroking deliberately instead jabbing in panic as I was wont to do in situations like this. As this was on home ground you can only imagine the commotion when the one ball rolled into the heart of the pocket.

New (personal) Best Shot

When this thread was posted, I didn't have too much to recall, but this happened last night, and I got a big charge out of it, so I'm going to pat myself on the back! Maybe not my best single shot ever, but definitely my best 2 shots in-a-row.

8-ball league match, hill-hill. My opponent has stripes, and leaves the 9-ball in the jaws as shown; his shot is a two-fer though, leaving me (almost) hidden from my 7 by the 8 ball.

Dire straits: too hidden to try to sink the 7 in the side, or to sink his 9 on a carom off the 7 (which would have at least left a bank shot on the 8 for him to try).

After the obligatory time-out conference (you know where your uh, advisor says "well, you shouldn't be here." ) I went with my own do-or-die two-fer: skin the 7 uptable into the corner, bring the cueball off the two long rails, and sink my opponent's nine ball. If either should work, well, I'm still in the game.

Here is my intended shot:

Well, the 7 made it right in! :p

However, the cueball didn't behave as planned  leaving me another tough shot. I worried about a double-kiss on the bank attempt, so I went for the cut shot, with my "fallback" position being to leave the 8 on the long rail midway between the side pocket and the corner, as shown...

Made the 8! :D :D :D

woulda been pretty fair for 9-ball, too.

I think the my favorite shot i ever made was on a snooker table.

I banked a cherry off of the Shim On the side pocket back into the opposite corner! And i called it! As you probably know the pockets on snooker tables are rounded... so the exact point to hit the ball off of a round pocket point is so small.. it was amazing.

This is a 3 ball run I made last Wednesday, not exactly one spectacular shot but when you string them together is was truly amazing.

Shot 1

CueTable Help

The table above is the layout for the 1st shot,
I am stipes and as you can see I am completley
snookered. The first shot I made is banking the
11 ball into pocket A (down by the 8), it was
a behind the back shot because the bridge and
I have not been getting along to well.

Shot 2

CueTable Help

Here is the next shot layout, the only place to put
the 13 is in pocket B, tough cross side shot and I
made it.

Shot 3

CueTable Help

Now I'm down to the 8 and it will only go in pocket
C, a very long tight bank shot and I made that too.

No fancy WEI tables for me. I'm happiest so far this year from getting 3 8-ball breaks in a row while practicing with a friend. I was doing a job on him in 8-ball, so he says, "Let's play rotational 8-ball." After him describing what it is to me, I agreed and proceeded to break. After the 3rd 8-ball break, we finally had to play one out and I won. He hasn't suggested rotational since. I still haven't gotten an 8-ball break in league for well.. maybe 8 months? Got close the other week, but I also scratched on the break to give a 3 the win (I don't think she sank 7 balls in the 4 games we played) after I had already lost the 1st game of the match by skimming one of her balls on a kick shot on the 8 through traffic. :)

this is my shot. played it in a tournament last month. I was well in front and vs a worse player, so i could aford to try it out. I had seen it in a trickshot video once, and i had asked her on the forums how u played the shot.

shoot in the rail, let the rail kickjump the ball in the oposit direction to usually pot a ball in the corner. I used the same technique.

was playing 8ball, i good snookered, so i descided to kickjump 1 rail, and hit the 8from behind slowly so the white would stick to the8, the 8would carom the 4 ball slowly to the endrail to make it a legal hit, and leave my oponent snookered. it worked like a charm.

rock was against the 8, the 4JUST barely hit the cussion and opponent was snookered. he tried the same shot but missed and spread them all open, with me having ball in hand. end of frame and match. thx, bye, come again :D

I made this shot a couple of weeks ago playing league. The guy thought he had me tied up with a safety, and I jumped over his 11 ball to the rail and kicked the 8 in. :D

I was super impressedwith myself.

Not intentional but noteworthy...

This Monday in 8-ball league. Break. All stripes to behind head string, all solids behind spot, 8-ball and cue ball within 1 diamond either side of side pockets, no balls pocketed. Unbelievable but true.

sorry I had no tiime to read all the other shots- Always nice to learn for free!

Here is one of my favorites: banked th 2 in the side and broke out the 5/8. Yes, I got out...

I hit this shot last night. I poted the nine in the side on a helacious throw cut shot (wei table wont show it there for some reason). The four and the nine were by the two ball and I got position that lined up the 9-5 combo and could only cut the 9 in the side. I threw it in and the CB hit the 4 and went back behind the three. I thought I was done because the natural angle to kick was blocked and there was only a little space but I nailed it perfect. After I made the shot the CB went to the center of the table and I had a shot on the 11 with natural shape on the 8. That was for a run-out, my third of the 5 game match :D

It was fun looking through all of those good shots. Here's my newest creation. I call it a resistance masse. Frozen to the one, I aim right of the opposite side at half diamond with 4:00 masse (75-80 degrees). Stroke it hard and the cue ball will pass the three-ball wall before curving toward the nine.
