What would you ask ?

What seems to have happened is that Mosconi missed on ball number 527, he said it happened that way. Then as the years went on when asked about it he started saying that he simply quit (more mystique that way) and as one poster on another thread said he started to believe that he never missed. I've heard that Charlie Ursetti witnessed Mosconi run 589 or thereabouts in practice and he says Mosconi just quit to end the run. maybe Mosconi just incorporated that into his 526 run, mixing the stories up. Who knows? But I have to believe he missed a shot to end the 526, I just can't imagine anyone writing in a book that they missed if it wasn't true.

I'm surprised people haven't jumped out of the woodwork claiming they were there. Kind of like when I was in college, if every guy that claimed he was at Woodstock was actually there, then I've probably met all 1,000,000 of them.

Actually there has been a little bit of that phenomenon concerning Mosconi's run. A LOT of people have claimed to have been there when it happened, way more than the 50 who signed the affadavit, or a lot of people claim their father or grandfather saw it. Pretty soon it will seem like the run happened in a stadium as opposed to a poolroom! LOL

Those are some god d*mn outstanding questions. There has been some world beaters born from the genius at work, Im sure of it....

I was told my Mike Sigel two things actually, but first and most important was to set up the exact same shot slightly thick with a bit of an angle and see how many variations of CB path you can generate just by using the vertical axis of the CB, speed of stroke, and grip tension. It was his approach of teaching me that the CBs first rail contact, or original line off of the OB can be changed dramatically without the use of off center English.

My question would be

If you had a student who was serious about the game, and wanted to get better as efficiently as possible, what things would you have him/her do, and in what order?

Aiming systems

I would ask about their aiming system. When they confided that I would ask them how the system handles squirt?
