i would lose! no...i would try to lag two rails and hit the 8 in the face, and hope to get lucky....

I'll say it once again, these tables would blow your mind regardless of any "system" you might use. But the only system I've ever used is called "shoot the ball into the hole." :grin:

And I've played a couple of people.

Last week, I watched another gentleman playing 9 ball on this table. He tried a long one-rail kick that required a bit of left english on the cue ball. He applied the left english and that dern cue ball came back off the rail to the right. He looked around the room as if to say, WTF!!?

I'm thinking there must be some sort of gravitational inversion in that room.

I don't know what causes it to happen, but I have had that happen on the tables around here too! Drives me nuts! Makes one wonder why they bothered to learn anything when nothing is going to work as it should.

In this situation I'm going 2 rails above the nine with running english with the intention of freezing to the 8 ball. If I hit the ball full or on the left, it will almost never leave an easy shot as long as I have good speed. Do anything else and you will probably sell out 80% or more of the time.

I saw one of the well respected locals at HT (wont name names, but he is a blue rated player) play this exact shot, except it was on the 9 not the 8. He froze to the 8 and won the game.

I have 2 questions ragarding this shot before I can answer it ... Is the 8 frozen or not ? And how much money is on the line?

If you have 10k on the set and you are both hill ...I'd try the Poolhall Junkie trick of "I'd pay $1,000 to take that shot, it's so easy!" and see if you get a fish on the line!

OK OK I know that never really happens .... so yeah, I'd go two rails super slow and jam up the 8 ... provided it was off the rail to start with. If that ***** is right on the rail .. well wtf did you put yourself against the tit for?!?!?!?! Hehe, hit the 2 rail hard and hope it pops in if that 8 is frozen.
