Quick update. The one pocket finals are Danny Harriman vs. Joey Grey. Joey needs to beat Danny two sets to win. Jeff Carter finished third and James Walden fourth. The 9 ball open has approx. 135 players with notables SVB, Matlock, Harriman, Walden, Don McAughey, Carter, Vilmont, Rector, and a few others. The ladies have 24 players with top players being Julia Gabrial, Samm Deip, and Jessica Freideras.

pretty impressive considering that Joey Grey is still an upcoming player just a very few years into the game.

Julia Gabriel won the women's last week here in Wichita. I don't know if she and John are still married, but John shoots a real good game and used to be House Pro at Magoo's in Tulsa. John was one of the first Tulsa players to go with a Shurtz cue by Bob Owen.

I am sure some other Wichita players are probably there like Jeremy Vulgamore or Marshall Roney???

Marshall is a fast 2 stroking left hander on the Luc Salvas order.

Sorry, but the only thing that John and Julia have in comman is the last name........... NO history between these two.............Sorry to burst your bubble on this one. John is from the Tulsa area and Julia is from the St. Louis area........

Are they doing a 256 bracket with byes or a 192 player bracket?

John used to have a wife or sister that played, and I thought it was Julia.
Is Caroline Ortiz there from Topeka?
 
Danny Harriman won the one pocket against Joey Grey in the Finals 3-1. Danny played very well, he only lost 3 games throughout the whole one pocket tournament.

On the Nine ball, SVB, Danny, Darrin Everette, Gene Albreicht, Chuck Raulston and Lee Norton (won against Dave Matlock) are notables still on on the winner's side.

The Winners bracket play will continue tomorrow at 10 AM.

Quite frankly...none of those girls have to beat Kristin Werner...and I imagine the finals will probably come down to her and Julia Gabriel!
 
You're right watchez. And she is in stroke this weekend so far. Has lost 5 games in her 3 sets and just keeps goin strong. I'm glad I got the steal in the auction on her. :)
