I'm surprised he hasn't raised the prices yet, since everything comes from ChinaLol not just the liner its the entire construction. No shortcuts and reinforcement in stress spots. They’re built to last a lifetime.

That's called explotationI have a feeling his margins are probably pretty solid.
Some cases will house modern jump cue handles...mine just doesn't. Easier to make something for $10 bucks, as opposed to buying a new case.Nice work
But isn’t it time for the case makers to acknowledge modern equipment?

Closer to 1000I want the color of money joss.
Can man get one for $500?
Yea not doing it. That money would be better off going towards my build.Closer to 1000
Peachauer makes a nice sneaky for 350. P25 i think? I was looking for a heavy break cue. Finally called schmelke and ordered. Bocote into purpleheart with purpleheart shaft with kamikaze tip for 200. I'll take that all day over a rage or jj for 105 to 140. I have to wait a month. Its custom. Schmelke will make money but nobody else wants to be competitive.I don't disagree, but Meucci's sneaky pete is $432 on sale from $480.
Joss "limited series" cues are available for $267.75, I think that's pretty good.
Sponsoring players is good for the sport. I am wondering about pool as recreation, something for the broader market than the interest as a sport.
What I am thinking about is the real entry level stuff. The cues that the masses start with and frequently stay with.
And what about the cases? McDermott, Viking, Meucci, and Joss all offered versions of the traditional Fellini style case over the years. The Meucci version was crap, but the others actually offered really good cases. Some of them were made by It's George.
I remember years ago McDermott released some limited cues made of forearms leftover from the D series. I agree, it would be great to see them revive some old designs.
Schmelke is still hanging in there too. I haven't checked in years but before I left they were still offering to custom build cues. As I remember there were at least a couple AZB members that had Schmelke build them a custom. I have no idea what Schmelke is doing these days. I have exactly one early Schmelke fancy sneaky in my collection.
Sounds like a cool break cue for not a lot of money.Peachauer makes a nice sneaky for 350. P25 i think? I was looking for a heavy break cue. Finally called schmelke and ordered. That's all you needThe pandemic ended the pool rooms in my area, so pool has been on the back burner for me. After I saw this thread, I did some browsing and agree that prices have jumped up a lot. Thankfully, I dropped the cue and case bug several years ago. My current cue, which I got used for an excellent price, should be the last cue I'll ever need. If for some reason I ever need to replace my cue, I'd probably head straight to Schmelke and be done with it. As for cases, I'll be fine with a basic tube case.
If you can find one. How is the sigma shaft? It's the production cues that have gone up and I don't care for them and will not be paying thousands for them. They are piggybacking off the custom cue makers.
I own the best cue on the market right now and I think its great. Entry level Mezz and superb quality. $550.
You can't beat that.
On the heavy side to my liking but shoots lights out. Stiff and good feedback. It plays differently for sure.If you can find one. How is the sigma shaft?
You don't care for production cues but you feel the best cue is a Mezz? It's the production cues that have gone up and I don't care for them and will not be paying thousands for them. They are piggybacking off the custom cue makers.

Miki basically ran the ADAM shop til it folded around '96. Started Mezz and they make the best 'production' cue out there imo. I've had a few and all were PERFECT in both construction and play wise. Their Exceed line is basically their custom shop. Prices are stupid but quality is first rate. This b'watch cat really is kinda clueless. I generally keep him on the ignore pile. You don't care for production cues but you feel the best cue is a Mezz?
And then this: https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/any-thoughts-on-viking-x-collaboration.574293/
Mezz is Miki, which is Adam, Helmstetter, Stambolini, Mali, Brunswick, Buffalo, Longoni, Riley, etc.
He's not entirely wrong. He overstates his case, and people can find what they want most of the time if they're patient and are willing to settle for their second choice, but imo there do seem to be a lot more items listed as "out of stock" than there used to be.So, one person can't find specific items to buy and suddenly the pool market is screwed??? Gimme a break. The pool market is fine imo. Prices on some things are too high imo but as long as demand is there they'll get it. Just what are you expecting the pool equip. market to deliver??
not a limited series, and has linen wrap, for $293
I agree, but try to find a Mezz right now...It's the production cues that have gone up and I don't care for them and will not be paying thousands for them. They are piggybacking off the custom cue makers.

I will sell mine when my new cue eventually comes. It's a EC9 which you can get. It's common. Mint condition butt. One hardly noticeable small ding on the sigma shaft. Extra shaft, well used WX700 shaft but very good still. I just play with it the most. I may take $400 and even throw in a case. Case is new.I agree, but try to find a Mezz right now...
