The left pocket side looks like there's too much angle, and there's no down angles on either side.

Yup.
The corners do not have that 13-15 degree down angle either.

What kind of table is that? The pocket appears to be oval shaped and the opening in the slate appears to stick out past the cushions. Last thing is the cushion looks short and appears to have very little "nose" point.
