tried a search and no luck, too many hits and jump and jump break are all mixed in together.
Just wondering which is the best pure jump cue........i love my sledgehammer for breaking but i cant jump with it very well. I got a j@j jump break i can jump great with but i dont like how it breaks as much as the sledge, so im going to start carrying a pure jump cue too, what to get what to get?

My Stealth AT-1 works pretty well. I put a white diamond tip on it. I have tried others and this is my favorite.

man i got one of those and i cant jump with it to save my life......i dont know if my technique just sucks or the phenolic tips have me spoiled or what. Does yours have a regular tip on it or a hard phenolic? I wonder if i could just put a different tip on mine, i like how you can extend it, if only i could use it lol.

I have a white diamond tip on it and jump no problem. Maybe it is your technique - I don't know.
Search White Diamond on here - there are plenty of threads about it.

Take your Stealth to a local repair guy or cuemaker. Have him install a phenolic tip on your jump cue. Better yet, get a G-10 tip installed on it. It'll jump like a kangaroo. The other one that I've tried that was like a grasshopper was the Mezz Air Shooter. Nice design. I don't like jump cues, but of the ones I've tried, those are the two I would go with.

I've got the stealth jump cue with the white diamond tip also. I could jump pretty good with tip that came on it but the white diamond tip made all the difference. I beleive any hard phenolic, g-10, or white diamond tip will drastically improve the performance of that cue.

I tried the new predator jump cue and it jumps fine but I don't think its anybetter than the AT-1 with the white diamond tip. At least not enough to justify buying another jump cue.

You can get the white diamond tips on ebay from Joe Picone.

Predator Air is neat. Jack Kompton's Jumping Jack is very easy to jump with, I have a mezz air shooter too.

Eric.

When I owned Bunjee I had a standing challenge to go head to head with any other jump cue and no other cue ever beat the Bunjee Jumper shot for shot.

These days though almost all jump cues are very very close on performance. Now it comes down to personal preference.

One person might like the Bunjee better than the Stealth and the next person might have the exact opposite opinion.

I ....

like these alot due to the extension. Helps a lot with long jumps, especially if you are using english on the jump. For the money I like em. http://www.beadsandbilliards.com/blfiex.html Thats a link to a pretty good deal on the stealth jump cue. Also see the Lucasi, Bunjee, Scorpion, and Leap Frog by Robin Dawson. All of those jump well. I feel like the Stealth is the best of those

I agree about the Stealth. For me the key is the standard tip and the additional length if needed. Have you ever played a draw jump shot with the other jump cues? Yes you can jump with phenolic but I have tended to overpower the stroke. The light weight of the Stealth combined with the WB tip makes it fairly easy to jump. Changing out the tip with phenolic, etc probably jumps easier BUT you lose control of the CB....IMHO

I've got an old Jerico jump cue - (not a stinger)... IMO, Jerry makes a great jump cue.

Ned Morris, the creator of the Stealth Airtime, drew his cueball back table length after performing a jump shot where the object ball was at the opposite corner at the other end of the table away from the cueball. He used a Bunjee Jumper to do it and it was done in front of a couple dozen people.

This was at the VNEA Nationals in Las Vegas in 1999.

It is a myth that the cueball cannot be controlled accurately with a phenolic tip. The tip on the Stealth is leather but it is treated and is as hard as some phenolics.

Just want to inject some factual information to this topic on this point only.

I will

I will say that you can draw with a bunjee or someothers. I will say that I find it easier with the cues I listed. I just like the stealth best. Close jumps would be easier with phenolic. I just thought the stealth had a little somethiing to add with the extesion and use of a leather tip. I myself would probally put a bunjee tip on it if i couldn't jump real close.

You can jump close with a Stealth. Melissa Morris, Ned's daughter and WPBA Pro, can jump a chalk's width freehanded using a Stealth and a Bunjee.

The Airtime is a Jam Up cue. Let's not forget that while Stealth is the distributor, the cue was invented by Ned Morris, a jam up California cue maker.
