Curious to know what you masters are using to move tables. Lets just say one at a time and no tractors please.

Good gas mileage, comfortable, go fast as you want. Scion avgs 34 miles to the gallon Van about 20. Its my third Van and over 400,000 miles between them and counting. Van fits a 5 x 10 GC, and the heaviest table was a 6 legged Phister 1.5 inch slate. All 4 wheel wells were buried. Handles a normal GC no problem. 8 ft tables fit in with legs on. Super easy to load and you can put a GC in there so easy its ridiculous. fyi

I drive a 24ft Ford E550 box truck and tow an 18ft trailer behind it and move up to 11 tables at a time and live in my truck, does that count?....LOL

I have a Ford E-350 15 passenger van. I took the back seats out. It is very comfortable to drive. I do on average 200 miles a day. Fuel prices are a *****. The van has a V-10 with 277,000 mile on it. I will replace it with a newer model around 300,000. I have had three 8ft tables in it. I usally only put two in.

"Knock on wood" No... Been keeping busy. I should add I cover the entire state of New Jersey.

Oh I see why all the miles now, good for you. Do you have a good helper? its nice when they can actually do somethig isn't it? the rate your going you will be retired in no time. I have several small businesses that I run so when one is down the other is going etc. I have seen sales drop but service, moves etc steady also.

I have a great mechanic who works for me. I have had him for 6 years. On a job he will do the rails while I do the slate and bed cloth. Customers will make a comment of how we work and neither of us has to say a word and the other will come over and do what is needed to be done. We work very well together. I am very lucky to have him.

Pat, That is so funny! I get that 4-5 times a week with my helper who
is great. People always say how we dont talk but work together well.
I always tell customers thats because we hate each other!!:p

how do you carry slates up stairs? and special tools etc, dollies

Is your next post going to ask us how much were charge on average for moves, disassemblies, recovering tables, etc? All these questions you keep asking are very obtrusive, you do this without truly telling us who you are. You are very vague about everything you speak about, and I have read to many of your posts not to start to wonder, WHO ARE YOU!
